I thought he was decent first half against Liverpool like put in a few good ball throughout the game. He is a little blinkered at times about getting past the man but to be fair he usually does it. Don't agree, he is doing very well

I wonder if he should go on the right now and again and swop with Seb, cos he could then do the cutting in thing and shoot with his left. I thought McBardo was good at this when he played LB

Lol Syd you are bored down there in Wales aren't you? I can tell!!!!

Regarding OP I think McLean is still young and everyone has a quiet spell at times in this league. I have a sneaky feeling he will come good on Saturday. Let's hope so.

I thought he played quite well but, after he nutmegged the two Liverpool players every time he got the ball two came over to mark him. I think that is a compliment to how he is playing.

The lad is raw full of energy sometimes runs into full backs but the goes back for more then sometimes goes by and crosses it. Excellent imo even if it is one trick pony that beats Elmohamady who is a no trick pony, only bruce actually thought elmo could play, personally i rate him below andy welsh and john oster. So i'm over the moon with young mclean.

i seem to remember he scored a good goal with his right foot against stoke....so he can use it .. he is just so tall and left dominated in his whole body movement as you see by the way he turns tha it will be difficult to change at his age .......i would rather see him practice on how quickly he gets the ball under control and moves with it as i see that as his major flaw ...if you mark him tight you put him off his game and he may get found out next season unless he improves in the speed of the initial control.....but he can cross a mean ball
