I was set for us both to go up. Reading have spoilt the strange-hold we had on the top 2 spots it seems.
Perhaps so, but what is the use in being consistent for just three quarters of a season, if your form goes out the window? No good being consistent for a long period of time if at crunch time another team becomes rampant and storms their way into 2nd place. It's just about winning games, it doesn't matter when you get them. If you get enough, you go up.
But we haven't suffered any form of inconsistency all season. Throughout the season we have won and drawn regularly. Our two recent home draws could have been disastrous but luckily our away form is very good. We are unbeaten now in 7 games I believe - Hardly inconsistent I am sure you will agree? Reading have been on one hell of a run which has balanced their slow start. But I believe this draw will be the start of the downfall. For what its worth I think we will further behind with a draw this weekend at Leeds withyou and reading winning. But I think we will finish strongly to make a late charge for the top 2 or maybe even the title. COYI
I hope we go up with West Ham,even though they've got some silly fans, like all clubs have I quite like the hammers.
Trixter, will you be cheering for Millwall on Saturday? I know when Reading played the Skates last saturday i was hoping for a draw, but certainly never wanted them to beat Reading.
A bit. I do think our away form will continue though. I think we can step it up at home a bit and i think Readings form will dip ending with a crushing defeat at the Boleyn.
Its a tough one. I would like to see them go down but we have to put ourselves first. I suppose there are positives to take whatever the result!
It always has been mate. Upton Park is just the area we play in. We play at the Boleyn Ground. Most of us call the ground Upton Park though.
This needs that convoluted adkins quote about consistancy, i'd dig it out but it would take an age to type up
Suffice to say it's about trying to be consistent, and being successful at becoming consistent, to the point where your consistency allows you to be successful. It's straight out of any decent positive thinking book.
