Let's face it, tilke tracks are boring...generally, SOOooo for the mid-east & asian tilke tracks, supported & promoted by oppresive governments,(a whole , other topic)it would be exciting to include a circus ... to the F-1 circus in the form of a "camel crossing" with a stop sign halfway down the longest straightaway. now wouldn't that be exciting...? Imagine, every 20 laps, the crossing light would turn on, and the animals would proceed with the "right of way...! CVC Capital partners, with a a reported 40% profit since acquiring F-1, as recently reported) could easily obtain local critters for the fun...Camels in the east, penguins & kangaroos -down under and other native beasts elswhere,( NO pandas, too many lil kids would object.) THe wedge shaped fronts with reenforced tubs, would fling the beasts up & over the drivers...! A supplemental point system could be awarded for the most & highest flying carcas...! NOW , THIS is something else for bernie to consider....Just think of all the zoos that would send spectaters , thus increasing ticket sales too...!, to bernie's delight, not to mention the slippery conditions resulting , without a drop of artifical rain..! AHHH ..the spectacle of F-1 ...!
ugh, more trash from the NASCAR fan. Don't give Bernie any ideas. And yes the Tilke tracks are boring, but the genius behind the new Silverstone has criticised Tike's tracks and said he would happily design them instead (something along those lines), so Tilke should rightly so see some competition. And another thing, it's F1 not F-1
Unless this article is meant as a satirical comment about the state of F1's quest to improve 'the spectacle' I'm struggling to see why the OP bothered making this thread. I'm also struggling to read this article as satire.
Excuuuuse me...! I forget that many on the "other" side of the pond have a very limited sense of humor, must be from the smog & loss of vision, or simply the need to criticize an opinion as being right or wrong.GROW-UP,.. an opinion is simply THAT...! You'd probably critique your birthday card sent by your mother for the need of appearing superior.
So not finding the idea of driving cars into the sides of camels at 200mph amusing means I have no sense of humour? ...I'm sure the RSPCA have a 'report' function somewhere on their webpage.
You see, this is why generally I prefer the football boards - F1 fans on here are so serious, lighten up a bit!
Yes but those on the football forum are actually funny, it just goes to show how British humour is much funnier............as that American comedian Reginald D. Hunter said!
