What a bunch of tossers the WFA are, they now say that both swansea and cardiff can represent wales but only through the domestic cups, but we must forefit all other cups in the football league..<doh> do they think we are stupid or what ??? they want us to lose thousands of pounds from the F.A and league cups to play in the micky mouse league where there is only 4 clubs worth talking about for a few shillings......are the WFA for real or what.....what do fans think.....

No thanks, I'd rather have less of a chance of getting into Europe and playing in League/FA cup than a pretty much automatic path into Europe. What a bunch of muppets <laugh> Do you think Cardiff will be up for this? I hope we aren't!!

The FAW as usual put themselves before the people they are supposed to represent,to gutless to back down and to naive to think the clubs wont tell them what they can do with it.They like the WRU have always treated members like naughty little school kids when the truth is THEY need to grow up and realise hey are not as important as they seem to think they are

Bunch of numpties. Trouble is, the WFA isn't run by proper 'football people'. Men in grey suits that know FA (how appropriate).

Put this on the Cardiff board, Dai and I'm sure they'll agree. Particularly as they came very close in the Carling Cup recently.

FAW can go and **** em' selves ! The amount of times they have stiffed the swans over the years beggers belief, they are loved up with Cardiff and always have been and have done nothing to help other welsh teams either, best thing we can do is completly wash our hands of the FAW, never given us a decent international game never fought our corner never ever helped the Swans but always helped ccfc !!

FAW = Bunch of ****ers <ok>

We get told that we are answerable to the football asscociation and whenever there is an indiscretion we get punished accordingly, fair enough. But then the FAW come long and punish us again and thats something i dont agree with ,one crime to punishments, that doesn't happen to criminals

I reckon Norway sums it up perfectly. The FAW are quite simply as Dai rightly says a bunch of tossers.

Swansea City in the Welsh Cup?
    No thanks.
I think it should stay as it is.
I really love to see the likes of Llanelli,Bangor City,TNS,etc., playing in Europe.
Anyone remember when Merthyr Tydfil drew a big Italian team? The build up to the games was fantastic, and they turned out to be really special occasions.
Let's leave well enough alone,I say.

I think it was Atalanta that Merthyr played and I'm sure they win the home leg too

That's right Dill,Merthyr won 2-1 at home, but lost 2-0 in the away leg.
The results were incidental though, since the large Italian community in the valleys turned the home game ,in particular, into a momentous occasion.
It seems like only yesterday, but I think it was as far back as 1987.

We can make Europe competitions by doing something all the other Welsh clubs cannot -- playing in the Prem. We could make it this season based on the fair play rules, but next season or perhaps the season after we could challenge for spot earned by league position. We don't need to take a couple of steps back to make a step forward, we can and should just keep striding forward.

I have to confess,Dill.I looked it up on Wiki in between our posts. I've just been watching the highlights on u tube.
I was living in Cardiff at the time, and the Tydfil fever was very much in evidence. Fair play to them, they did Wales proud.
As,in fact, did Cardiff, when they beat Real Madrid. What a night that was.
Overall, however,I would be far happier seeing the likes of Merthyr have a good Cup run than either us or Cardiff.

My abiding memory of Merthyr is going there for a Welsh cup tie years ago and when we got there the game was called off. We beat them a few weeks later 2-1 in the snow. Wouldn't begrude them a cup run either they need it far more than us.

I'd like to see The Swans' have a real money spinning pre season friendly next season, and spread some,or most of the proceeds around the Welsh League teams.
    Is that a crazy idea?
