i have lumped on AF and CC but have left out Menorah- you think it is worth backing him- What real chance does he have! imo not alot! but it is probly worth it just incase!!
He's a live chance Wooly IMO mate. Pretty unexposed, and if he can sort his jumping out (which he must have done or they wouldn't have kept him in) then he's pretty interesting. I actually started off having more on Menorah than Cue Card.
Sprinter Scare may have looked all conquering this season over 2m but the way he finished up the hill in the Supreme Novices last year, I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole in the Arkle. Al Ferof looks the likely winner for me.
Al Ferof 5/2 - £28.60 Cue Card 6/1 - £14.30 Menorah 9/1 - £10.00 Blackstairmountain 16/1 - £5.90 Foildubh 80/1 - £1.24 The above stakes total £60.04 and return £100 (or as close as possible) should any of the above win. If Sprinter Sacre wins, then your stake up to £100 is returned. This leaves you with an additional £39.96 to bet with to get a profit on any of the other runners if they win. If you fancy any of them in particular then you can put that £39.96 on one horse, you might split it across 2 others, you might split it across 3 others or you might like to equalise your profit across all runners. The above gives you the basic start point from which you can adapt the bet to suit your own thinking by using the surplus £39.96. I have put the extra £39.96 on Al Ferof, meaning I stake £68.56 on him, with a potential return of £239.96. Subtract the other stakes and that leaves a no risk profit of £208.52. Hope that helps.
It might be advisable to wait until the morning because you might get a better price on one or two if you're lucky.
paddy power reserves the right to refuse refunds if a customer backs multiple runners in this race. IM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nam it wasnt there this morning either. Just went to double check before placing bets and that was added at the bottom
just spoke to alan atpaddy power and he now says your only allowed to back one horse in the race??? disgraceful
Well come and live in london and just visit all of the 247,369 branches of paddy power and you'll be fine. You'll spend the entire festival walking round bookies to get your money back but you still get it back!
Yeh they have definately changed it. i emailed them a week ago asking "The money back offer if sprinter sacre wins the arkle, is it valid for all bets from one account or mutiple bets up to the ã100 limit? For example if i had ã50 win on peddlers cross and ã50 win on al ferof. sprinter sacre wins, would i be refunded ã50 or ã100. Thanks in advance." My reply was this. Hi Stuart, Thank you for contacting Paddy Power Customer Support. Below is a Kist of the terms and conditions for the Money Back Special on the Arkle Chase at Cheltenham. You are correct in assuming that both bets would be refunded as long as they both participate in the event as the max refund is per customer. •Max refund: e100/£100 per customer. •Applies to bets placed on the Arkle Chase from 8am 28th February. •Applies to win (and win part of each way) single bets only placed before the start of the race. •The customer's selection must run for the refund to apply. •Does not apply to extra markets. •Does not apply to Tote bets I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any further queries please click here to avail of our Live Help Kind Regards, Grahame Walker Paddy Power Customer Service I have emailed again to see where i stand, so will update here. I would think i have a pretty good case. If they refuse to pay out, i will ask them to void the bets before the race.
spotted this myself when I'd just got ready to place the bet. idiots! I'd even reopened thy damn account. don't let them get away with changing the terms on this you've already done.
I had a long conversation with them.... ''what we can guarantee is that at least one of your selections will be voided if Sprinter Sacre wins. Because however you have backed all selections bar Sprinter Sacre we do reserve the right not to refund all of those selections because you have backed multiple selections. I am afraid that unfortunately we do reserve the right to update the terms and conditions. This can be found in our rules. They wouldnt even comitt to refund the biggest stake or anything. Absolute s&it show. If they go back on this I suggest everyone calls them up after the race and argues for as long as possible and if rejected calls straight back. Clog the phones up and lose them a load of business and im sure they will change their mind!! Freephone 08000 565 265 will have most impact!!
I had already placed this bet (I blame Zen!) I tried to void it but they won't do that. So I asked what will happen. They said that if SS wins I will get a £100 refund. Then I asked what would happen if one of the others wins - would I still get a payout. They said yes. And I took a screenie for future reference! I'd post it here if I could work out how to reduce the size - it's 185kb and only 19 allowed here!
ive took it, that if you placed the bet before they changed the rules you will be ok. If you do it after then you will only get refunded for your first bet. I'm guessing they had a lot of people taking advantage of the flaw yesterday, so changed it to stop more people doing all the horses.
