Don't forget, I bet we were the club no one wanted to draw either. We are very much one of the hot form teams left in this tournament and a tough match for any opposition.

I can't wait for Saturday tbh.

    Likewise mate!

Dunno where i'm gonna watch it, as the Banana Bar where we usually watch the match have made it clear we're no longer welcome when Sunderland or the Toon are playing after the derby last week....

The only sure thing about runs, whether they arer good or bad, they always come to an end and the run of defeats away to Everton is ripe for the picking.

I don't actually think it will be anywhere near as easy as the 7-1(Always remember being 6-1 down and two Sunderland lasses where in the Gwladys street singing red and white army  ) But if you don't think we're in just as good form as your good selves then you'll also be in for a shock come Saturday.

I disagree I think there will be quite a few chances despite two solid defences.

And I'll also be supporting Sunderland should they go through and not us.

We would never underestimate your lot mate. Good players, great manager and passionate support.

We will need to be full on from the first second to the last if we are to stand a chance. I still think it will be tighter than a fishes chuff though and 1-0 either way or 1-1 is my prediction.

Good luck both clubs but hopefully this is our year after nearly 40 barren years without any trophy.

    We deserve a ****ing trophy.

We had to watch Gareth Hall, Ian Rodgerson, Daryl Murphy, Jon Stead..... we deserve some ****ing compensation.

    Ha, not bother mate.

We were all together, and are all great mates, but lets just say the people of Marbella learned a LOT of new words.

And heard a lot of words they may not like, repeatedly, and extravagantly loud.

On there beachfront, on a quiet, sunny sunday afternoon.

We're not barred or owt, just no more of our own teams games, haha.

    (Euro's, hell on...)

I'm clinging to the last time we beat Everton down there which was a cup game (League I think) so going for a very tight game and hopefully a win for us, are the semis at Wembley this time around?

I'd back us against anyone in the cup over 90 mins that is apart from Everton of course. Any football historian want to check when the last 5 wins on Merseyside were? In my lifetime and memory I can remember 1 victory against Tranmere on a Friday night and the league cup win against Everton when Bridges scored that class goal from a punt up the pitch.

I'll say our last 5 wins on Merseyside have took 35 years.

    Anyone else want to guess?

We won 3-1 in 1997, the first year up under Reidy.

Bridges scored twice, and I pulled on the train home, great day!

Everton had beaten Southampton 7-1 at home week before, and we were expecting a mincing!

Anyone going to the match? Got my tickets through on Friday. Really looking forward to a classic match between two well-matched sides. Lot of time for Everton and Moyes. Connor Whickham to be a Cup hero anyone?

I fancy Whickham might have a role to play in this one.

Him and Campbell might make a canny duo.

Thought Wickham looked sharp and menacing when he came on Sat. He looked fitter and faster too.

Whoever pulls on the shirt seems to step up under Mon. I have no concerns in that department for the weekend at all.

Match winners, or changers will be in piert supply but for me, playing Richardson in the Sess role, playing deeper and leaving Bridge at left back, would completely throw a spanner in the Everton game plan. Campbell or Bendtner (if fit) up front to start with.
