Everyone has a great moment in time, no matter how fleeting, King Kennys was his ability to turn the ball, with his back to the goal and score, magic moments. BUT HISTORY. Glad I dont support the Scousers. the inbred belief [ like the scum ] that they should win every game is long outdated, as Sunderland have proved to them yesterday, but they still dream on.

    All things in context really.....

There wasn't much between the two teams on the day, both failed to create many decent chances.

Had Bendtner not been there to tap in the follow up then it could very well have been O'Neill saying "we were unlucky, Faziers shot hit the post, keeper then post again and stopped out"

    What a tit KKK is........

Obviously we were lucky lads we beat them and that is the only way a team like us can beat them is with a large slice of luck. The fact Bendtner ran through 4 Liverpool defenders to get to the rebound meant nothing maybe he should be having a go at them for that instead of saying we were just lucky.
Bad loser and a bad winner when the other team aren't lucky.

Good manager, great player. Nothing against the bloke or Liverpool. Very funny bloke with a dry sense of humour. Obviously there was a bit of luck with the goal but that's tight games for you. Nothing been the two sides and Sunderland got the ball in the back of the net all said and done. They like two or three other top sides are in transition and patience is not a commodity in abundance in our league. They'll improve again next year but depend far too much on keeping Gerrard fit. They obviously miss Lucas too.

Sunderland are lucky because our striker reacts to a situation quicker than their defenders do? I wouldn't call that lucky, I would call that an example of a team that displays the mental speed required to take advantage of a situation which presents itself on the football pitch and at this level, thats the difference between the team that wins and the team that loses.

    Agreed !

Lucky ? - Liverpool were lucky Campbell's shot didn't go straight in as it had the keeper well beaten !

Lucky ? - Liverpool were lucky it didn't go in after rebounding off the post onto the keeper - it has on plenty of other similar incidents !

Lucky ? - Was it was lucky that the person who reacted quickest was a Sunderland striker who was on the move once the shot was hit goalwards while all the Liverpool defenders stood around like empty milk bottles !

    Lucky my arse !

probably missed the goal due to bin dipping, like Suarez not being a racist, Kenny must be a bookies favourite he never backs a winner

Just seen dalglish interviewed on sky sports. He was being asked about Suarez saying he'd like to play for PSG and just responded with sarcasm and patronising attitude and avoided the question. I really find him a despicable little character these days.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish praised Sunderland's supporters after Jordan Henderson was given a rapturous reception on his return to Wearside.

The midfielder, who joined the Reds last summer after coming through Sunderland's youth system, was given a warm round of applause before the game and again when he was substituted 12 minutes from time.

Dalglish's side lost the game 1-0 thanks to Nicklas Bendtner's 56th-minute goal and the Anfield boss took a moment afterwards to highlight the reception afforded to Henderson on his return to the Stadium of Light.

"I think it's a great credit to Sunderland fans," said the Scot, who was speaking at a press conference ahead of Tuesday's Merseyside derby.

"They were very mature in their approach to it. He's a local boy, it's the only other club he's played for.

"Most of the players they had the other day were brought from another club, so they shouldn't be upset when somebody leaves the club.

"It was very respectful and honourable they gave him a big round of applause."

It was good of him to give us some credit. Mind you I was more proud of the reception given by the crowd when he brought on Auntie Carroll.
