If it is Mcshane to take over that role, then I reckon its time to really test Amoo and see if he can take up the attacking aspect of the right
Don't think we will recall McShane. Not if NP is trying to get him off the books. He won't want to give him the thought that he might have a future in the squad.
Big loss if we don't see Rosenior for the rest of the season. Watching his performance on saturday, especially the first 15 minutes, i thought City might have to fend off a few bids for him in the summer. Only a slight positive but this might keep him off the radar of Premier league clubs. Chester or Hobbs to cover while he's out, is Solano still around as back up on the bench?
Got to agree with Ricardo, Holt is a massive dirty thug and he was at it all game. It's the nature of this division though. It's a very weak division and the best sides are the ones that just want a battle who would normally be solid mid-table sides but due to the lack of proper-footballing sides they are near the top challenging. Maybe if it wasn't for ours and Portsmouth's financial issues and Burnley having a terrible manager us 3 would have been challenging at the top instead but unfortunately because we've all had our problems the league is open for any average side to have go. Pplayers like Becchio, Somma and Holt who just fight their way to the goal are more suited to this division than flair players, it's a shame really. Holt also had the cheek to claim a penalty while he and Dawson were wrestling each other to the floor. I think everyone in the ground knew Dawson would prefer a race to the ball while Holt was the one wanting a scrap for it. The injury to Rosenior was completely unnecassary. Just like the Sawson incident he couldn't take someone marking him tightly and starting kicking off he should get some sort of retrospective ban for that cos it was so stupid. He won't mind.
The only thing i've seen is this quote from NP in todays paper "It looks as though it could be a bit of a shoulder problem," he added. "I don't know if it's concerns about a break or a dislocation. We'll have a look at that but hopefully it won't be too bad."
Though only published by the Fail today, those quotes were from immediately after the game on Saturday, I suspect they're out of date now.
Seems he's only out for a couple off weeks, McShane is also injured and may be out for rest of season. http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10338~2322001,00.html?
It's good news that Rosenior should be back next month, though it doesn't sound like he'll be back before Boro, so he'll probably miss half of the remaining games. The fact that McShane won't be replacing him is also good news.
Funny how Chinese Whispers start isn't it. First we have: "Does anyone else knows about the standard recovery time for this injury, still hopefull it won't be as long as I was told by the nurse who saw him in A+E......" Any chance this nurse was a Leeds fan? Then by the same poster: "Apparently he has fractured his acromioclavicular joint reckon he's probably out for the season. Can we recall McShane or any ideas who's going to take his place in the team?" 'Apparently' is a word with so much to answer for.
Meh, I can only tell you what the nurse who saw him in in A+E told me, and yes I know for fact she did see him since she had his shirt from the match stinking of sweat, signed and cut in half to get it off with her.
WestHullTig3r - The only problem is that you started this thread with a pretty bold statement - "Apparently he has fractured his acromioclavicular joint reckon he's probably out for the season." which was a downer for me at the time and by the looks of it quite a few others on here. Just a tip but if you had said; 'I have been told by a nurse on A&E that he has fractured his acromioclavicular joint ...' then we could all form our own opinions and not have to cry in our cornflakes.
Well it was a downer for me as well but think how happy you are now that it isn't as serious as that, you'd have never have felt so high without feeling so low....
