Agreed and worse than that the crowd will get on their backs thinking they know how to play the better ball in every situation. Early goal please!!
Right we only drew yesterday, but thats put in perspective now WHU only managed to snatch a draw tonight. Have to say I was guilty of despair and much hand-wringing myself, which was foolish when there are quite a few points to play for. Going for a 2.0 win to Saints on Saturday...and hope that Reading drop points.
My Team: Davis Richardson, Fonte, Hooiveld, Harding Chaplow, Cork, Schneiderlin, Lallana Sharp, Lambert Subs: Martin, Hammond, De Ridder, Lee, Connolly My Prediction: SAINTS 2-0 Barnsley Sharp, Sharp Everyone seems to have left out Punch, is he injured?
This pretty much, although I'd want Hammond on the bench. Barnsley aren't in rich form and I can't see them being confident enough to push up and press like Ipswich did. I can see Barsley dropping deeper and inviting us to get the ball down and play. I'd be tempted to play Connolly too as although he's not the quickest or most potent goal threat, he has undoubted quality on and off the ball, which will help us break down a deep defence. I'll trust Adkins judgement as Sharp, Lee and Connolly are alll good players and he knows the relative fitness levels better than we do. Also think Guly will have a good game and quite possibly score. The West Ham result is a boost.Goes to show that they aren't infallable either.
I think same team, Lee up front (sorry Sharp fans) as he looks to be clever, quick, and I think he''ll score again as he's getting in the right positions. But saying that.....maybe Punch or Chaps on the right, seems Guly played ok, but keep everyone keen! De Ridder on bench. 2 or 3-0 Saints.
Don't mind having wither Lee or Sharp up front but I'd go with Lee. Hoping Nigel doesn't rotate too much again, but Chaplow in for Guly another necessary change and maybe Cork in for Hammond.
Would really like to see Luke Shaw get a game if Fox isn't fit Not Hardings biggest fan in this league and don't think Barnley will come to SMS and give it a go so ideal start for the young lad
Don't think a promotion run in is the time to be trying untried youngsters to be honest, Harding has been regular for 2-3 years. Fox is first choice and rightly so, but he is a great back up.
OS preview of the match said he's back in training an could feature, maybe not conclusive but i should think he'd be fit for Saturday or if not deffo Millwall.
