How are Leeds bigger than either us or the Mags? What had you done untill Revie arrive or after for that matter (except 92)? How is lif ein the Championship btw? Remind me, weren't Leeds in League 1 for a couple of seasons? Still a massive club? How can we North East teams compete?

Newcastle v Sunderland or Sunderland v Newcastle is derby. Derby games are difficult. The position in the league or how big does not matter.
Form also out of the window.<ok>

Why is everything based on Premier League results?

The League has been going since 1888!

Probably to keep it as relevant as possible I'd imagine. The game has changed a hell of a lot and bears no real resemblance to how football was played in 1888. And I'm not only talking about the developments in fitness, sports science etc. We've changed a good number of rules, some fundamentally changing the game itself (offside rules/backpass for example)

Good fishing with that bait I must say - I'm surprised with such an obvious lure.

You only need read the title to know exactly what the point was going to be. A weak jibe you can see a mile off.

Poor Cest, you can do better.

I see the usual suspects have not disappointed me. Lol

Whatever the argument, SAFC remain ahead of the game when it comes to being English champions. It's the ultimate challenge and the absolute test of endurance.

There are still only 6 clubs to have won it more in some 130 odd years since the league inception.

Like it or not craas, they are facts that cannot be disputed. Ever.

Well you can't really ignore the fact that the top division has been going for over 100 years. It may be a long time ago but it is still in the record books. Anyway if you want to keep it as relevant as possible why not just make it over the last three years.

Football has not changed a lot over the last say 10-15 years so you should always looking to get the widest ranging relevant results as possible. There would be little to be achieved by not taking advantage of all the relevant data avaiable to you. It has changed off the pitch of course, and there have been minor changes on it, but essentially its the same game. Its not if you go back 100 years because there have game changing rule alterations since then. The backpass rule was a massive change to the game. <ok>
