Ok, so your now on a decent-ish run, and after your (Little lucky) draw against Southampton the consensus on these forums seems to be very much 'Jewell in!' Now, it wasn't the long ago I remember you were all writing letters to Simon Clegg saying he should sack Jewell and resign and so on.

Now, of course emotions were high at the times these letters were written, but some of the stuff written in them must have been quite hurtful for Clegg to read when he is just trying to his job...

...so to conclude suggest you all write letters apologising to Clegg and acknowledge the fact he knows more about football than you hence why he is in the position he is in.

I particularly liked the use of the phrase, [now you're on a] "decent-ish run", seeing as the Budgie's have lost 3 of their last 3...

    Cracking WUM post otherwise!

Do one DM. I don't remember putting anything about sacking Jewell in my letter, mine was directed against Clegg himself.

Nice one Welly! DM not sure what you mean by decent-ish run, by my book, 5 wins, one loss and a draw, and matching or beating the two top teams tells me its a hella of good run by our standards!

Our recent form and playing style, performance, team selection and energy, commitment & loyalty has nothing to due with Clegg and everything to do with a hard-working manager, back up team and players that have at last gelled.

While I did appreciate many fans disenchantment with Jewell I for one did not call for him to go.

I do however agree with you that the tone of some letters were below the belt, but equally that Clegg does know a thing or two about handling sport fans, director's, investors unhappiness and has a healthy PR team behind him!

Ok, fair play guys, well played for not biting!

But, the very fact you mention our 3 game losing streak shows you can't get over your obsession with us... behind all the low grade wummery in this post, there was a deeper meaning; it is amazing how quickly your tones have changed from 'let's boycott some games' to 'we might make the playoffs.'

But obviously, I'm not in the least bit interested, I wasn't actually expecting any of you to email Clegg apologizing, the whole post was just a vehicle in which to deliver the line about Clegg knowing more about football than you guys! :)

I'm looking forward to 2 new kits every season, I don't really think nowadays that every fan has to have the latest kits every season what with the fashion of retro kits (i know that gus is getting his money's worth from his old Fisons lace up top and passing himself off as a Dedicated follower of fashion).

If you like it buy it if you don't.......................

How is losing a game either side of losing to Manchester United despite outclassing them when they are third best team in the world poor form?!?

I will happily eat some humble pie but not for my comments on Clegg. If anything the fact that he has apparently acted on our advice suggests he doesn't know what he is doing.

I'm eating the humble crumble for my comments on Tommy Smith. I was convinced he was useless a couple of months ago. His distribution was terrible and he was always getting caught out but since he's been given a run he's been immense, with his distribution and physical strength especially impressive. He also was the only player to applaud all four stands after the Bristol game, a la Matt Holland.

I'd happily have him in the team for next season along side a new right sided CB, I'd even go as far to suggest he could be a future ITFC captain.

Personally i still think Clegg is a useless twat and will never change my mind, unless of course he manages to sign Messi!!
As for Jewell, still not convinced but moving in right direction.
