Once again you have your head firmly up your arse.
Innocent people have been killed just because some ignorant prick tagged them as a ****. Mud sticks.
I hope the bloke whoever it was gets banged up...And I ain't joking.

I realise I'm probably a bit intolerant with those sensitive types, it just mystifies me why they would be so hyped all the time. Each to they're own but I'd always give those types short shrift, lifes too short to be getting the hump about things on the internet. Obviously the idea for the forum is to attract people to chat, but at some stage you have to decide who you're trying to appeal to I suppose. There are just too many different people out there to please them all.

Yeah, but we have to also accept it is an open forum, and more members, hence more views, makes it better.

Some people are sensitive, but they have that right.

Like I say, we'll get there!

    5. Arguments about who started the first argument and if that argument was valid, followed by more arguments about the argument following on from the first comment the argument was initially made about.....its getting ****ing boring, can we just talk about football and leave the arguments about who are the biggest ****s to one side for awhile

I think anyone who resorts to insults at the level of "*****" obviously lacks the wit and wisdom to use the queens english to defend their corner and as such should be banished from this board, simple.

I think the last two posters before Wease just confirmed what I said earlier in reference to Chaps reasoned points.

I find it bizarre how something as common and deadly as depression is still so widely misunderstood.

I think that the problem concerning Gary Speed's death is that people think they know it all. From one rumour or another, people make a decision that he was a coward, a hero, or whatever.

IMO this is a problem that is endemic in every form of life. People who are unqualified and ignorant of an issue, trying to pass their opinion off as valid!

It's the same with people who deny global warming. 'Really? You disagree with 98% of qualified professors? Why?' And these opinionated morons will spout off some second-hand nonsense theory, that can be easily disproved.

How many of us knew Gary Speed? How many of us have a PhD in Psychiatric Care or Biochemistry? I would guess very few, and yet we read a few redtops and shout our opinions to the world. The fact is, none of us know any more than the next person, sad as it is.

And yet, MackemsRule thinks he knows it all, because he 'experienced depression himself', and probably read a few speculative articles in the weeks following Speed's death.

Yes MR, it is the internet, and you are entitled to your opinions. But if you can't back it up with facts (and no, speculative nonsense articles don't count), and you think that the form of depression that you suffered is the same for everyone else, then you shouldn't be surprised or angry when people dismiss you.

It's not about whether people agree or disagree or dismiss anyone elses comments - it's about

    1) whether the comments actually break any law

    2) cross agreed and defined moral or social boundaries

    3) people who do disagree innundating the mods with PMs insisting that the poster is banned and his opions silenced

    4) huge double-standards

Two wrongs don't make a right!

I agree, that calling O'Neil a ***** on the Sunderland board, or any public board for that matter is plain stupid, and is obviously not going to do anyone any favours.

It's not very pleasant but be honest when have you EVER done anything but be a troll over here... you cannot WUM with every single post - including threads you have started and expect people to be civil.

Given it's you it probably is a reasoned, albeit somewhat offensive, response.

Willa, the best thing about last Sunday was

They’re seriously rattled. I don’t think I’ve seen them like this for a long time.

Deep down, buoyed by, to their credit, excellent performances against us in the last 2/3 years, they really thought they would do us easily on Sunday. They didn’t. And not only did they not, we bossed them until we lost Sess and they know it too. With 11 men we would’ve won. They are scared and worried that we will surpass them once more next season. This scares them further having, in their minds, reclaimed their “Top Dogs” (sic) position which they believe is a post ’92 birth right.

Their crass comments on our performance reeks of hypocrisy given in recent years we have seen the likes of Barton, Nolan, Carroll and Taylor take gamesmanship to a new derby day level with diving, time wasting and cheating aplenty. Roles reversed and just watch the toys fly out of the pram.

Whilst our manager behaved in a manner affording of a respected footballing professional theirs dances churlishly & childishly down the touch line, and then, like a naughty school child, attempts to fabricate evidence to admonish his obvious guilt.

Whilst our chairman goes quietly and gentlemanly about his way to ensures the future and heritage of our football club theirs sits in the stands swilling larger in a too tight top whilst selling to the highest bidder the very heritage that they seem to bleat on about so much.

Their fans write fraught articles reviling our support and calling us hooligans whilst simply erasing the memory of all the broken seats at the SoL and the mass pitch invasion at their old ground, St James’s, in 1990 as a deliberate way to get a game called off. And forgive me if I bring a non-derby day story up, but weren’t these angels the same ones who had a mass organised pitch invasion at Darlington pre-season. One rule for us it seems.

But I don’t care. I’m absolutely loving it. To me, there’s nothing better than a rattled mag as that’s when the sandy foundations of their “top dog” arguments begin to fail. Without any recent history to back them up, they are forced to admit to a history they try to forget. A history when Sunderland were greater or equals, and if history shows us one thing, it’s that it repeats itself.
