Just read this article, not the most interesting thing in the world, until you get to the bottom... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17273967 "He has not held a managerial post since leaving Leicester but on Monday, he openly expressed his interest in the vacancy at Chelsea. "I would take it, of course," he was quoted as saying. " ****ing laughable anyone could consider him going to Chelsea, delusional to the 2nd highest degree (after Leeds fans)
Wouldn't surprise me if he gets Sven until the end of the season when Di Matteo loses a game - Roman is an impatient idiot.
Imagine Sven with Chelseas transfer budget What do you reckon, he'd take Mills off Leicester in a £20m deal?
The chances of Sven getting the Chelsea managers job are about the same as the chances of me being shot in the next hour, by an alien, dressed as Elvis Presley.
Yeah - but think of the Compo he'd get, when Abramovitch sacked him!!! (Bet that's Sven's major target)
Chelsea fans are just as delusional believing they'll get Guardieola or that Mourinhio will walk away from Real Mardrid for them. The revolving door they have for managers at that club is ridiculous.
Looking at Sven now and what he has done at club level you have to wonder how the hell he ever got the England managers job.
I like Brendan Rogers' quote on him being linked with the job. He denied it and said "I want to build my career, not destroy it!"
I hear Di Matteo is on a 45 min rolling contract, if they're winning at half time, he gets another 45 mins! Actually, seriously for a sec, the bile spouted about Chelsea makes me laugh. Their owner is rich. He expects results. If he doesn't get them, he'll get rid of the man in charge, and get someone in who he thinks can deliver him results. Why is that so bad? Lots of companies are run that way, the successful ones that is. What is wrong with giving someone a chance to prove something, then when they don't, getting rid of them?
Even Glenn Hoddle wants the Chelsea job. Not looking good for them, they need to get someone Moyes and back him and give him at least 2 seasons before they sack him They could have who they want at the minute and will still fail. The squad is too old and their egos are destroying the team
Benitez has been mentioned in a few places as the next manager, could see him being the brutal chopper needed at that club
All this chopping and changing of managers cannot be good for a football club - we're a good example of that ourselves. I think Abramovich is the main culprit. They should have never got rid of Mourinho in the first place, then made some bad appointments to replace him and the when they finally found the right man in Ancelotti, they stupidly sacked him as well. The problem is tha in all that time their team has grown old together and it's not had the chance to evolve. Now, the new man will have to come and do a re-building job on the team and that will take time but that is one thing Chelsea managers don't get. I agree that David Moyes would be a good choice but I don't think he's a big enough name or got enough Euro experience for Abramovich. I still reckon Mourinho will be back at the Bridge.
