We are not good enough this year for all sorts of reasons, maybe even unlucky at times. However, the remainder of this season now rests on Chelsea away in the cup with 6,000+ fans on a Jolly.... We absolutely needed 3 points tonight and another good performance. 51 points and firing on all cylinders and we'd have clawed back the necessary points to give us a sniff. I'd have even re-posted this link to eat my words. Sorry folks, it's season over.....again
lord_dyer, yes that is the operative word.........STILL!!!! only 7 points off the playoffs, like we were last the, the wk before that, the wk before that, etc etc etc, the league season is over and has been for a very long time, well it has been for the realists anyway, and anybody who hasnt jumped on that bloody idiotic optomistic bus on foxes talk but at least now we can enjoy the rest of it with no pressure, and hopefully the axe wont fall on nigel, so he will be given time to clear out the deadwood and under achievers, bottlers, powder puff players, just not good enough players, call them what you will, unfortunately im not totally convinced that the axe is in secure hands
I dunno, we do perfom better against teams above us, so we'll be expecting wins at Birmingham, Reading and Blackpool Only way we will catchup is to beat these 3 teams tbh, because if we dont, they will motor further ahead, and it will be statistically impossible before the end of March. Season over? no, not im my opinion, but its definatly on its last legs.
