Forgot the thread that asked about players to sign from clubs when we go up...but now he's on a free Gregg Wylde is a great shout, speedy young winger and lets face it, as much as we have done well this year a pacy left winger rather then Jacko would be good

Jacko is a good player but not the pacy winger that I think we'd like...but then you have to question if we move him into the center (not going to get rid of him) but who would we drop from midfield?

He may be on a free, but that simply means that he and his agent can now charge a similar amount as signing-on fee to what Rangers would have wanted as a transfer fee.

Because the structure of the Scottish Premiership is so deficient (two clubs of good Championship standard and the rest of Div One and Div Two standards) it is hard to assess how good Scottish players really are and they are always even more of a gamble than other signings. He will demand a huge signing-on fee and I don't think CP or our owners are gamblers.

But I agree with you that a "genuine" left-winger is one of the few areas where we could affordably strengthen our first-team squad and give us more options.

If our SPL expert FHB says sign him, then we go ahead with it.

Who needs Phil Chapple? (apart from non league clubs looking for a quick buck).

I'm a bit out of date, but this is one of the guys that I'd genuinely be interested in if it was a possibility. I'm not sure this is all cut and dried though. There may be an element of walking but with an elastic band once the club is reformed after admin/bought by someone else etc. Might be worth a trial arrangement if that's permitted these days.

I did remember Bob, but also remember him saying he didn't have as much time to watch it these days. You want to help with the SPL scouting?

Seems like a nice guy as well, no ego footballer the reasoning behind his leaving

Truly decent guy unlike a lot of footballers (not Charlton lads of course)

If you take that at face value you will believe in the Tooth Fairy too. He is now in a position to pocket a huge signing-on fee. If he shares that out among the kitchen staff then I will believe he is a saint.

Wyldde is Rangers through and through so I suspect his sentiment is genuine. I would equally suggest that his gesture has been made on the advice of his agent.
