How do some of these videos end up on youtube? What software is used to save the actual program before its uploaded on there. I noticed that the Leeds match wasn't uploaded. Disappointed, so its something I'd like to do myself.

Not sure what any of it is called but you can get software to record from televison on to PC. I imagine that somebody has recorded the highlights from the Football League Show on to their PC Saturday night, and then simply uploaded the video file on to YouTube.

Don't really want the Leeds highlights....I'm afraid they'll score at the end...still don't know how they didn't.

There are several ways it can be done, for example, direct connection of a computer with a TV card, to an analogue or digital signal. Or there are Freeview boxes that can record to a memory stick, which then can be transferred to a computer for editing.

Thing is, Youtube has the ability to accept many different formats and converts the file on the fly, as it is uploaded to their servers. Mind you, don't expect the match to be there for long. I don't think the Beeb will mind, but someone at the Football League will be alerted, and then the file will be removed. If you keep on uploading games, Youtube will shut down your account. I have experience of the last bit as I once had a Youtube account with something like 100-150 or so televised Saints goals and extra highlights. One of the goals was via ITV. They objected, badly.

I've never seen a 6 yard box more crowded than it was on Saturday!

The team were extremely determined that Leeds were not going to score..!

EDIT: Having seen the repeat a couple of times, the thought has occurred to me about that old example of being able to cram the entire World's population on the IOW.

The time when Leeds hit the bar twice you mean? Unbelievable! As well as however many Leeds players in there ,every Saints player was in the six yard box, that's what you call defending in numbers. I was at the game and felt numb for some time after, I've never witnessed a winning game like that before.

I know I must have looked at the clock 100 times in the 2nd half and it seemed to be going sooooooo slowly!

Saints were together as one, on the bus. It's just that it was parked just in front of Kelvin. <laugh>
