So, Oxford it is then. One of the promotion-chasers, boosted by a massive win over Swindon earlier today to bring the Swindon Circus down a peg or two. Oxford, however, will have no Leven or Constable for this match - Leven injured and Constable suspended, so can't score as he would inevitably have done. Town want to continue their home run of 7 wins in 8 and no defeats in 1 year and 2 days after dropping out the top three with a point at Crewe, and I think we'll have a decent chance despite their obvious quality. That right there is a sign that they must be awful really if they couldn't score past that steaming sack of ****e.
I hope the new full-back does OK if Joe is not fit. We are a much better side at home than away and,if we can beat Crawley after playing like we did, we can beat anyone. I predict a 1-0 win in a tight game with Sawyers coming off the bench to open his league account. Crowd to be 5800.
one of towns greatest threats to promo, oxford and they beat swindon with 10 men. oooer missis, come on you shrews, floreat salopia. i have a dream
And the fall of the Creepies continues, as predicted (cough cough). LOL. Anyway, lets home we don't (fall that is). Three points tonight will see us in a very favourable position, although I can't see Oxford rolling over at all. Salop 1 Oxford 1 (C. Griffiths) 5, 678

With a shortness of players fit, Oxford might have an odd formation. Shrewsbury 2 v 0 Oxford Collins Morgan Att: 5400 Breath on 'em Salop

Abandon hope of promotion. The headless chickens are taking over. Two in the Town XI now. How many more to come? Decent footballers on the Shrewsbury bench- 4. One other game changer gone for a Burton.
The first half display was probably the worst performance I have seen for a long time. Didn't even have chance to sit down with me bovril before we were one down. Oxford werent pretty, in fact agricultural. With dubious Duberry being the main culprit. The referee and his assistant travelled in on the bus, playing touchy feely with the Oxford players all day long. They missed many assaults on Collins and Morgan throughout and booked Collins for being molested in the penalty area. Can anybody tell me how a linesman can flag an offside when there are three defenders and the goalkeeper on the line? Town dominated the second half and fully deserved at least a draw with two fantastic goals from Wrighty's volley a a steamer by the follicly challenged one.
Was there some kind of record set last night? Is it the earliest (30 minutes) that a goalkeeper has been booked for time wasting?
