After watching your local rivals game, it was definitely a game of two halves. In the first half, Sunderland owned Newcastle in midfield, the toon couldn't string more than a couple of passes together before being dispossessed. Having said that, they could have just as easily went in level or in front had they not given away a silly penalty, and Ba had not hit the bar. On the whole though, Newcastle deserved to go in behind in the 1st half. The 2nd half was like watching a different game, Sunderland came out with a whimper and got ruined by one master stroke substitution. Hatem Ben Arfa's introduction had Sunderland all over the place, he opened them up at will and was by far the best player on the pitch 2nd half. Sunderland were lucky to concede just one, in that Ba hit one of the worst penalties I've seen in ages at this level. Sunderland were lucky that Newcastle equalised in the 91st minute because the floodgates had opened, they were going to get a 2nd if that game had run on another few minutes, absolutely no doubt about it. On reflection, I watched the managers interviews post-match and O'Neill has seen this as two points dropped but lets face it, he doesn't, he sees it as a point gained and an escape. Pardew was acting like a kid for the most part of this game so I'm glad his team were denied all three points in the end because you don't always get what you want, even if you stamp your feet like Wenger. It was a fair result, the sending off for Sessegnon was correct and the ref got most decisions right. Just one more thing, I've seen a few threads on these boards about Sessegnon vs Ben Arfa i.e. who's better. Well on this evidence, regardless of Sessegnon's sending off it's 1-0 to Hatem Ben Arfa.
You can read O'Neills mind now, of course he sees it as 2 points dropped we were winning after 90 minutes ya tit!
The same Tiote who ran the 2nd half from start to finish? Unfortunately a game of football is 90mins long. Tiote was indeed bested in the first half by Sunderland's 3 midfielders. But the facted he bested all three single handedly 2nd half and ended the game having completed more passes than all three put together, I think Cattermole has little to worry about on the hostage taking front. They may want to check Cheik's sample though because his 2nd half domination was super human.
If you want the top parts in these American movies, you really have to show commitment in your acting. Competition in Hollywood is at an all time high and Cheik has to persuade them he's ready to take on the role of BA in the A Team. To me the way he went down could be a perfect example for him being drugged for the "I ain't getting on no plane fool" bit. Its in the bag Cheik.
And there we have it, a unbiased opinion and the 5under1and fans got told again what we all know and, more importantly, what all the neutrals know - we were the better side over all.
Barton is a thug and Cattermole is your old fashioned type of player. If Norman hunter or Billy bremner had hit Tiote they would have to call in the priest!.
Typical thick headed Jawdee, can't sustain an argument or discussion, so head for lies & insults, frig off off back to where you belong
Lol, Clint Eastwood played Rowdy Yates in a show called Rawhide. They just kept on moving across the old wild west, never getting anywhere. In typical American fashion they nicknamed him Rowdy as he hardly ever said a word but when he did he mad his point, even if it was ****.
