Now that is meaningless point scoring hows about a very young boy suddenly found there was a football team on the world stage that happened to share the same name as his small hometown? Childish i know but I was only 6 and not able to decide wehter it was a ridiculous affiliation or not, all I knew was I was suddenly interested in how they fared edit: also where have I said i hate England
Was I the one who brought Libya up? If everyone else is going to use off topic incidents in order to try and defeat my point then I am entitled to use similar incidents to my advantage
And you are shown up by your final sentence. You criticize one person for ignoring Israeli/US actions whilst you do exactly the same for the actions of the Syrian and Iranian governments. Try reading up on the topic and you might learn a little about all the pies they have had their fingers in. I've lived in Kuwait for a decade now. There isn't a more feared country than Iran in the region, and what the Assad family has openly got away with... well even you should be struggling to find excuses for them.
Your post was in no way aimed at anyone trying to change the subject or using a completely different subject you just got offended because someone called you out for what you are (and for some reason don't like being told it )
Kuwait as in the Saudi Arabian subsidiary country? Well of course, Saudi Arabia is one of Irans biggest opponents. Not least for sectarian reasons but also the fact they have the most to lose by having Iran replace them as the major political force in the region. Edit: I also fail to see how a nation that hasn't engaged in an aggressive military engagement in nearly 2 centurys should be more feared than a nation that has engaged in almost 50 since its inception in 1948
You're an anti semite with a serious problem with western countries and a strong soft spot for terrorists. Hope that sums it up for you Kinda hoped i wouldn't need to point it out most people know whats wrong with them.
But how can I be anti-semitic when I am placing my support with the direct descendants of the semitic tribes? What is a terrorist? Was Israel not founded by terrorists, the same terrorist who beheaded and mutilated British servicemen in the region while Palestinians fought alongside the British during WW2
I'm not Kuwaiti you idiot. I live in the region and I'd hazard a guess that I know a bit more about what's going on here than you do. You are just an armchair no-nothing dropping tired little lines that are utterly inaccurate or just downright stupid.
You still haven't given me any specifics as to what exact threat Iran poses? why it should be constantly villified for non aggressively defending it's own interests Also living there is no guarantee you know more, in fact it means you are more exposed to pro-saudi, anti-Iranian information. I would hazard a gues that I would have a more rounded and more informed view of say.... american politics than half the idiots who live there
Non aggressively defending its interests? They are the other side of the coin of Saudi Arabia, though you seem happy to point out the latter's failings whilst ignoring the former's. Are you seriously telling me you have no knowledge of the involvement that Iran has in neighbouring countries? If that's the case, then you shouldn't be posting your ill-informed bollocks on here.
I see you added an extra line. I get my news from international sources, and I hear the opinions of a multitude of Arabs (of many nationalities) on the topics of the day. I'd say that was more balanced than your anti Israel/anti USA blinkered view of events sitting at home in your village thousands of miles away from what's going on.You appear to me to be blinded by your dislike for those two countries. Just because you dislike their actions doesn't mean you have to be an apologist for the actions of Syria and Iran.
You don't have to say something for it to be obvious. It's not meaningless point scoring, either. You associate yourself with NUFC and Corvette Racing while simultaneously slamming everything British or American. It's not my fault that you can't spot the problem. As for your question about why Iran should be feared, the highest political office in that country calls for authors to be killed for writing works of fiction that they don't agree with in other countries. If that doesn't scare you, then you're not very bright.
Don't worry PleaseNotPoll, it's now clear to me after Jacky's points that if Iran were as powerful as the USA, they'd be a benign force for good in the world. How blind I was.
Aren't politics and sport supposed to be kept secret? I am not slamming everything American and British. I am merely vocalising my discontent at some of the politics of these countries. I have explained my association with NUFC, my interest in Corvette is nothing more than a passing interest in their C6R GT racer, I really hold no fondness for General Motors. What are you talking about? A very childish way to conduct yourself in a debate. Who was speculating about Iran's behaviour were they to have the military prowess and international political clout of the US? Such specualtion is worthless, no one can possibly tell. What I can tell is the USAs behaviour, with power we aren't speculating over, is really nothing to be proud of. I can also safely say that Iran currently, with 45 american bases stationed on its borders, with a free path for Israeli planes to its borders (the willing Saudi Arabia, vacated Iraqi airspace, pre-occupied Syria etc) from a number of directions, the ever present US Navy in the Indian Ocean, poses considerably less of a exostential threat to Israel than the agenda driven western media would have you believe
