<peacedove>Ball to hand the referee ruled out a goal.If the referee had given a goal Fegusion is certainly going to complain.Perhaps
the referee was scared of Fergie.Spurs were the better team in the first half.Adebayor cannot do anything about the hand ball.<ok>

Would rather win nothing and keep your dignity, than win via cheating, bribery, intimadation, propaganda etc. United have no class, something money can't buy.

Well done United, you got away with a classic smash and grab. But don't get too excited, 2 goals came from Spurs defensive mistakes, your midfield was dominated by a 2 man Spurs midfield, Jones looked like the average player that he is, and you made Saha look like a lethal forward. Apart from that you were less than average.

That's a sign of potential champions though Dave. Play 'less than average' and win.

Im' told you were brilliant again on the weekend and lost ? Shame that.

You are either wuming or bitter this morning Dave.

That is precisely why we are happy about it. We've come through some hard games since January - and dropped only 2 points.

Ferguson admitted that the tactics were wrong and we were fortunate. Scholes and Carrick simply do not have the legs to dominate territory over young, energetic midfielders any longer. But alas, we finally have Anderson and Cleverly fit again and they were very exciting together at the start of the season.

Jones is a CB, not a right back and we are all very happy with him and his potential. Besides, Smalling and Rafael are both fit again and will be looking to play RB. Rio and Evans are a fixture for the rest of the season and Vidic is unlikely to return before May.

At least our wingers and strikers are very good indeed <ok>

Phil Jones has been totally shocking the last few games he has played but you don't hear the media slating him because he play's for United and Ferguson could'nt possibly have signed a total ham for £20mil.

I don't think he's been that bad. The media will cut him some slack as prior to a dip in his form, which has coincided with coming back from injury, he was outstanding. It's not like he's done a Downing and been ****e all season.

To be fair to United they do it a lot, win games when they are not at the races! It’s something you have to admire. Being able to dig out results when you are not at your best.
Would be happy if we can just get half way there and win the games we deserve to win!

Eric, certainly not bitter. In fact I have just posted on another thread how happy I am with our improvement..

What I said was an objective critique of your game with Spurs. If you note I started off by saying "well done United". However, you are ringing the last knockings out of a less than average side and that's the truth. I don't believe that you will overtake City and then you will critically have to re-appraise what sort of side you really do have. You are not alone in that as the same can be said for both Chelsea and Arsenal (you might have to put Spurs in there as well when they lose 'Arry and maybe Modric and Bale).

Is it that quiet on the Manc board then?

There's a few topics on our board, mainly about Liverpool, which uis why I come here to talk about United <laugh>

I don't think the critique is particularly fair however Dave :

Firstly, you pointed out the goals from defensive mistakes, the vast majority of goals in the Premiership are either from defensive mistakes or moments of brilliance. Most mistakes made however are due to the quality of the attacking movement or just **** defending - look at your goal on the weekend for example.

Secondly, how did we make Saha look lethal, surely a lethal striker would at least score one goal ? I thought we defended superbly yesterday.

As for Jones 'showing what an average player he is' , that must be joke ? He has had a few bad games and a fair few really good games. I find it hard to swallow when a Liverpool fan calls Jones average but will sing the praised of how good Henderson is going to be, who in my opinion will never be as good as Jones.

In regards to the midfield, you are right, hopefully we will address this at the end of the season <ok>

The United board is full of tumble weed the massive club that they are they have to come onto the Liverpool board to talk about their own club.
