Yeah me too. Think the club should have backed him a bit more though.
Think we may have missed an opportunity to rid the club of player power for once and for all. I mean, what happens if the "gang" don't like what the new manager does?

Our defence has sorely missed a good defensive midfielder to protect the back four. Before we had Makelele and Essien. Neither Meireles nor Mikel holds a candle to those two which is unfortunate as Mikel at one stage looked very promising. We also had Steve Clarke who done wonders to our defence and one of the best CB partnerships in Europe with Terry and Carvalho. We've lost three out of those five and Essien has been ravaged with injuries which means he has lot some of the quality he once had and has not had enough time to gel with the latest additions to the squad. The way Luiz plays is hit and miss. He has his good moments and his bad, but he certainly does not complement Terry in the same way that Carvalho did.

On top of that a lot of goals have been down to individual player errors from the likes of Cech (who has lost a lot of confidence), Bosingwa and Luiz. Notice how Bosingwa missed 80% of our double winning season and how we had either Terry and Carvalho or Terry and Alex as our main CB pairing back then. Luiz should honestly sue the person who recommended that he is best become a defender as that is not his strong point. The guy would have flourished if he was a box to box midfielder instead. As for Cech, I actually think he's at his best when he is confident in the ability of the players in front of him, something he hasn't had for almost two years now. Just look at how he came out of his goal post for Napoli's third goal, assuming that Luiz would not be able to get to Cavani in time.

Oh definitely, goes without saying. It's just annoying that other fans stick their beak in whilst acting like hypocrites.

Surely that was inevitable given the huge media backlash to AVB (in forms like The Mail). Radio too - switch on 5live or talksport and usually AVB crops up pretty quick.

Its just so sad that, yet again, we are the main news item for the wrong reasons.
As for other fans sticking their noses in? You know what I feel about them. :emoticon-0100-smile

you lads got the feeling he'll go to inter and become a legend like a curtain somebody?
its probably at the worst possible moment just when the manager stamps their identity on the team hes cast aside
and who can you bring in Benitez, Renieri don't think the special one would come back not yet anyway?

Jose Mourinho? <laugh> ...he's at Real Madrid and about to beat Barcelona into 2nd place for the Spanish League Champions Title.

How on earth does anyone work out that he'd want to come back to exactly the same problems that he left behind?

Sorry but do you not read the news? He has stated he wants to return to the PL, we currently have a vacancy and he means a lot to our fans.

I've heard what he said, he said "Premier League" and did not specify Chelsea.

He's just waiting for SAF to retire. <ok>

Did Jose mastermind this whole ordeal? Texting/talking to the the Chelsea players, telling them to under perform while at the same time stating his desire to return to the PL? It wouldn't shock me if this was the case.

What so he can step right into his shadow and have him watching down on him from above? Not a chance. SAF won't be retiring for ages, so try again.

    Manchester City then.

He didn't get on with RA and while that man owns your club, there will be no return for JM.

Are you saying you know more about what goes on at Chelsea than it's own fans? City or Chelsea and there's a current vacancy at Chelsea, are you not using your brain? Put two and two together, Mancini is currently doing a good job at City and there is vacancy at Chelsea.
It has been made known Roman and Mourinho made up after their spat.

Abramovich bought Mourinho a £2m Ferrari 612 for his birthday a couple of years ago. Doesn't sound like they aren't on good terms to me.

Are you saying that Chelsea are a bigger and better club than Real Madrid?

You seem to forget where Jose is currently managing - nobody really knows what goes on behind the scenes at these football clubs, but your assumption that JM will just come running because you've sacked yet another manager is laughable.

There's too many here that go off what the back page of The Sun says Drogs and claim it's gospel. (Them, not you :emoticon-0100-smile)

Wouldn't surprise me to be honest. Players and then the top brass might have actually gone pining for him too.

The money is all relative to RA... how much did he spend prising AVB away from Porto? Just to bin him a year later.

    Think on.
