Say what you will, at times like this I really wish we had Nolan and Barton playing. They knew how to play these derbies, rattling your opponent but - and this is crucial - without losing their heads. Cattermole is a lot more clever than people give him credit for. I wouldn't be surprised if O'Neill told him to put in an early challenge and get our team rattled. I'd bite your hand off for a draw now.
Sunderland have outplayed us. It was a definate penalty. Fair play to them they've done well and now they can sit back, crowd players behind the ball and look to sting on the counter with pace which is O'Neill's style down to a T. Think a couple of decsions have gone against us but nothing that would have changed the game (ie I don't think Ba's was a penalty). Only gripe so far is that there have been too many yellows for a Derby the worst one being Cabaye's after Bardsley's dive and scream(wouldn't have expected that from an Englishman...then again steven gerrard i guess!). Also williamson's seemed a soft yellow, the pen was punishment enough.

I saw the replay, Ba is shielding the ball, the other guy comes from behind, isn't near the ball, shoves the striker over... penalty in the book. Anyway...not gonna happen. The ref's got his mind made up, I still think we have enough to get a draw out of this. I have no quabbles with your penalty, Willo just messed up, however, the ball wasn't anywhere near them, those things should be a yellow and indirect free kick or something. Not a penalty. They should be whistled though.

You deserve to be winning. Shirt pulling is a foul anywhere. O'Shea on Ba would have been a foul anywhere else. Neither were penalties.
