Just thought I'd ask for views on the effect the Champions League may have on our next two games after today. Chelsea are away at Man Utd on 6th April four days after we play Chelsea. Will they risk a full strength side on the Saturday before that massive game and especially against Stoke, which they may interpret as a tough physical game. Tottenham are away on on the 5th April to Real Madrid and at home to them on 12th April, and sandwiched in between is the Stoke game. Again I cannot see them risking anything like a full strength side, unless they get battered on the 5th and are out of it. Given that the top clubs nearly always struggle anyway with results around European games, it may just allow us to nick points we may have struggled to get.
Reasonable question to ponder, I believe TP will be back protecting our goal difference rather than looking for points in these games. Looking at the tightness of the table goal difference could become an extra point after the fat lady as sang.
