    Morning peeps :)

Agree with Toppy about Capt Conan - an absolute monster, and I'm sure will be a very good recruit to the chasing ranks next season.

And I also think that Ubaltique is well worth a punt at the current 9-2

Rest of todays cards are tricky or unappealing. I'll stick with my League comp entries I reckon :)

Morning all. The express was running a story about Mikeael Barzalona being signed up for Godolphin. Perhaps i'm going mad but I thought he already ride for them. Is this just an announcement to tell Coolmoore that they have no chance of getting him?

With my cheltenham pot just about scraped together I am reluctant to do that much today. There's a few trappy races - how do we know how ready some of the national runners will be?! - and the quality is poor for a saturday. That said I have spared a fiver and am going for a few speculative ones. So far I have 2 doubles taken from this thread:

    Junior SP
    Super Villan 10/1

    1pound staked

    Pittodorie Star 9/2
    Woody Waller 7/1

    2pound staked

1pound win Accordingtolawerence 22/1 (this isn't from the thread but I feel it has a chance and is too big)

I have a quid left. Who wants to give me some ideas!? Any winnings will go straight into the Cheltenham beer fund. <ok> Going to read the thread back see if I can't find a couple more for a short priced treble

Bloody hell, the Oddschecker site is slow this morning.

Really interesting stuff up here on what seems to be to be an even harder than usual day. We seem to be backing a fair few drifting horses.

Pity Pricewise went for Araldur as the value's pretty much gone. Finding it tough to make my picks today.

The Moore horse Galiotto looks an interesting outsider in the 4.20. Trainer seems to have a good record at this meeting and this feller's won on the flat with headgear, which is tried for the first time over jumps today. Small e/w investment.

Lucky 15 Tom? Well lucky so far, in as much as you avoided any of mine <laugh>

Nass: Their email alert is a joke - far better to send it the day before. I missed Pentiffic's 16-1 win due to this <steam>

too late heis but i've already got a couple of yours in a small double.

unfortunately a bit more of the fund was dipped into because I found one I like the look of. I'm not one to advocate taking on Pricewise too often but if you fancy a horse in a race where he has a selection then you are more likely to get a nice price. I think today's ground will bring the best out of Passato in the 3.10 at Newbury. i'm only having small stakes but I do think he could run into a place and is currently 14/1. With 2 pricewise selections and a couple of fancied Nicholls runners he might even go off bigger.

that's more like it tom, none of this keeping powder dry nonsense. I'm on my own today so will be looking at those sort of numbers.

I'm starting off with a v small ew on blazing buck in the first at newbs. I like tony Carroll, seems to get the best out of them. hoping the ground is getting fast.
