    Wondering if anyone was at the Wolves match and can shed any light on this.

    My mate sits in the East stand near the strawberry corner and was saying a couple of the lads had a big banner with David Santon on it with something written in Italian.

    The stewards asked them to take it down cause it was covering the advertising and they said to speak to someone from the club, they were eventually allowed to keep the banner just move it out of the way of the advertising boards.

    He thinks the lads with the banner had come over from Italy for the match.

    Any idea who they were and why they were over for?

    Aye they were Italians. They had a few problems communicating with the stewards but eventually put their banner on top of the access.

    No idea, just saw them talking to stewards. I was speaking to a Sunderland fan on here from Italy who had mates who wanted to come over to watch us just because of Santon.

    He is gorgeous like! <laugh>

    Seems the guy has a lot of love. If he raises our profile in Italy at all then that's cool.

    I saw them all in the club shop they were buying **** loads of stuff, not so sure they werent actually Newcastle fans to be fair, or maybe they just looked really excited to be at a great stadium!:p
