    Hello all,

I am a Southampton fan and student at the University of Gloucestershire and for my dissertation I am looking at fans' attitudes of stadium naming rights in the Premier League. I visited St James Park, or the Sports Direct Arena as it now known, on Saturday and was meant to visit Stoke on Sunday, but due to a friend becoming ill this couldn't happen.

Now I'm here asking for your assistance, so if any of you would be willing to fill out a quick questionnaire please could you send me a private message with your email address and I will send you a copy over to complete, it will literally only take a couple of minutes!

I need responses from any fans who have at least attended a home game and a fan of any team that has a stadium that was corporately named from new in the Prem.. (Arsenal, Bolton, Wigan, Stoke, Swansea).

Thanks so much in advance to anyone that helps, you are all lifesavers!

    With the greatest of respect..
As one of the two moderators on this board can I ask you a few questions first..

Can you please send me a P.M. and I will send on my e-mail but surly, to ask any fans to simply give their private e-mail address is asking a lot?
You don't give a real name so can we trust you? NO OFFENCE intended but we're all OK fans on here and I trust ALL of them.
And, what is this all about re the questionaire? I've no problem helping any fans so long as you are serious.
    Thanks in advance
    Pottermouth <ok>

Thanks for raising your concern Pottermouth, if a questionnaire is not possible (although a few stoke fans have expressed interest).. can i try and get a bit of a debate going about your thoughts on the matter?

Are Stoke fans happy with having a corporatly named stadium?

Well, seen that you now have my e-mail I will fill in the said questionaire no problemo!

As for naming it after a Building Society, we have a maga rich Chariman and a Welsh Manager who's getting well paid no doubts.

    Seem's fitting don't you think? <whistle>

I don't care what the Stadium name is.. I do care about what happens on the pitch itself..
I think? originally the Britannia had a ten year right to name the Stadium, that is now well past ten years and counting.

I don't mind because "Britannia" sounds like it mightn't be a company, just a patriotic English thing. If it was called the McDonald's Chicken Box or something I might have other ideas!

I don't mind, as it's always been called the Britannia, and as peadar said, it sound patriotic. Also their red and white logo goes well with our kit. Also Britannia offer a "Support and Save" account, where a tiny bit of your interest goes to the club.
I think us and Swansea have done well with out stadium names but I also like Newcastle, but I'm not happy about them renaming the stadium, because of the tradition, but mainly the fact that "The Sports Direct Arena" just sounds crap.
