If he's using a work PC they should hunt him down and sack him for that filth.

to all the thick **** charvas that worship him you really are f*cking ******ed. imagine there dad was a postman going about his business and then you hear hes been shot and blinded. how many of them would be crying to the police to find the shooter.

the people that hate the police hate them for one reason only - they came and arrested them for punching their lass while full of the drink and throwing a brick through their own concil flats window. or caught cheating on benefits etc. if they weren't breaking the law then they'd have no reason to dislike being arrested. ****ing idiots. Sad news indeed.

Think the police have a bit of an unfair reputation in general Pipe. I was never fan of the police until I did a work placement at the Crown Prosecution Service and then realised just how difficult a job they have and how scum the people they go for are in general.

I know a couple of coppers and they're sound guys. you need only watch the TV show coppers for one episode to see the kind of human detritus that they deal with on a daily basis. a lot of this muppets probably watch shows like that and take the piss out of the idiots getting lifted without realising thats exactly what they're like in general.

I hate the Police because I see them as the agents of an oppressive government who are employed to crush the freedom of other people, whether it's being used in a legitimate ethical way or not. ACAB.

Sad to see Mr Rathband die still, sad whenever a Leeds fan passes away. <peacedove>

I know, not enough is made about the truth of what goes on. I remember the first day being a real eye opener and still most days there was stuff that horrified me.

Without the police to keep people like moat in check the country would be run by far more oppresive regimes than we have at present. you only have to look at the likes of libya to see what happens when a nutter ends up in charge with a militia imposing his will on everybody around him.

Poor bloke, he tried his best but couldn't get past what that animal did to him. I hate the fact that Moat actions had this effect am wished he could have beaten it but can completely understand why he couldn't at least his suffering is over.

Totally agree ! There are good and bad in all walks of life but anyone who thinks the Police are part of some oppressive system need to get real and go somewhere where the regime and security services are REALLY oppressive.

I have several friends who are Policemen and more decent, likeable people you couldn't wish to meet. They do a difficult job often under enormous stress and at great risk to themselves. David Rathbone and his family deserve better than to have had their lives destroyed by the thug that was Raul Moat.

Just because it's not totalitarian doesn't mean it's not still oppressive and wrong. Letting people write comments on the internet is hardly proof that we live in a place of freedom. In fact, you can't freely write comments on the internet any more, as recent cases have proven.

I never said people shouldn't be able to defend themselves, or that there shouldn't be public security officers to prevent genuine crimes. But as far as I see it, these Police officers who happily nick people for victimless crimes like 'public disorder', not wearing a seatbelt, possessing drugs that you yourself are going to use, prostitution etc. can go to hell. They're the enemies of freedom, paid to do the politicians' bidding.

All oppression is wrong, no matter what quantity it exists in.

Try moving to China mate, or North Korea. You obviously hate the freedom afforded to law abiding citizens of our great nation.
The only people who have to fear the Police are the very same people I wouldn't want living next door to me.

In all seriousness, I have now lived here for 63 years and have never felt oppressed, ever.

Is this guy for real??? how is public disorder victimless. As for the drugs (even possession for personal use) don't even get me started, I think you must have taken too many.

I'm biting my tongue here to avoid getting into big trouble !

Drug posession is illegal, as are public disorder; burning looting and rioting, oh and not wearing a seat belt is also illlegal. The Police don't make the laws - politicians do.

The majority of fair minded, intellgient people think laws on drugs, public order and road safety measures are fair and a price worth paying to live in a decent civilized society. If you don't like the system here, move somewhere else.

Now take your extremist politcal views somewhere else !
