http://www.twtd.co.uk/news.php?stor...ncern_at_heavy_defeats_and_lack_of_draws#comm He sounds like a broken record! We all know why we either win heavy or lose heavy without drawing! So why is Jewell continually banging on about it and not doing anything to sort it out!
This is the worst season i can remember - however there has been some recent improvement when he has played the youngsters. IMO PJ is not going to cut it in the long run- Like Keane he is tactically poor and really seems to struggle to attract good players who are under 30.
JWM does have a very good and valid point so i don't see why you are having a go at him, Jewell HAS been coming out with the same drivel for a year or so and he still HASN'T addressed the problem. In my eyes the criticism is most certainly just!!!
i saw today that we have conceded 3 goals in a third of paul jewell's games since he took charge! only 5 teams in the championship have scored more than us but only two teams in the whole of the football league have conceded more.... we all know where the problems are and although I think PJ is the man to turn us around, i still can't understand why he hasn't done more than he has to sort out our defence. we have been talking for ages about the need for a proper right back, why haven't we tried to get joe flannagan from liverpool on loan?
Why get someone on loan that we won't sign on a perm, we won't go up we won't go down so to me any loan will have to be to sign in the summer otherwise why pay another clubs wages for them.
i agree that we don't want to loan someone if there is no benefit to us but i actually think we could get flannagan on a permanent. he's third choice at iverpool and both johnson and kelly are pretty young.
It pretty much leads me to believe that in the summer either Jewell, Clegg or both are offski. We are not hearing the reasons as to why no more funds are being released. Why the **** have we not signed a centre-back? Even on loan. Strange times at Portman Road...........
http://www.twtd.co.uk/news.php?storyid=20293&title=jewell_weighing_up_changes_for_bristol_city_clash Jewell said: âI always consider the team but I think weâve got to be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water. âWe didnât think everything was rosy in the garden after weâd won four games, but also just because weâve lost one game it doesnât mean to say weâll have to make wholesale changes. But weâll consider everything.â does this make sense?
I think what he means is that we have been playing very well for a while so one loss does not mean its all wrong again so maybe one or two changes just to keep players on there toes..........................i could be wrong it has happened once before.
