Stoke - I'm feeling confident of a result

This will be feisty because Newcastle like to put their foot in and, away from home, they make life very difficult for the opposition. We saw that at Birmingham in their most recent away game and against Arsenal earlier in the season.

Playing two wingers to feed John Carew, Kenwyne Jones or Ricardo Fuller, Stoke have certainly gained a bit more ammunition of late and the whole club will be on a high after beating West Ham in the FA Cup quarter-finals last weekend to secure a trip to Wembley.

It's going to be close but I can see that momentum helping Stoke to earn another important result.

Prediction: 2-1



We've got one of the best records away from home in this league and Stoke have never beaten us at their place, so he goes for a home win

I think I'm going to have to agree with Lawro (yeah I know, I feel like I need scrubbing with caustic soda). Just think with our current injuries we're going to struggle. Will probably concede to a set play, Colo sometimes goes missing for crosses and Stoke have to great big lumping CB's in Huth and Shawcross. Just have a feeling our season will falter a little bit now we haven't got much else to play for, Euro spot is out the question now and we're reasonably safe.

I am not too confident going into this one with so many injuries.

I just hope that Stoke have their minds on the cup semi final.

I've heard that Enrique isn't playing so I'd expect Stoke to focus a a lot of pressure down the left wing.

I'm still predicting us to get 3 points though.

NUFC.com says Ferguson will start at LB. He's got talent that kid, hope he plays well tomorrow. Also says Campbell might play. What formation Pardew will play is anyone's guess. He played 5-3-2 last time which didn't work at all. We've got a fair few players out though which doesn't help.

 

No offence but the "We're going to lose/win (delete whichever one Lawro says) because Lawro says we're going to lose/win" is pretty unoriginal.

 

All week said a 1-1 draw and sticking with that.

In that case I reckon Stoke to win 12-0 and the FA award them double points for a stunning display of total football...

 

He played 4-4-2, Simpson was on the wing. I hope Ferguson starts and plays well, the only silver lining to come out of this injury crisis is players like Ferguson getting some game time.
