Let's be clear - flags really don't bother me, nor I suspect most Swans fans. It's a free country and fans can display whatever they like, provided it's not overtly offensive. Btw, I actually think the Trundle /Tate prank was well out of order. The old 'flag debates' on 606 used to get me going a treat, but at least there are two credible arguments about displaying union jacks, whatever one you agree with (PLEASE let's not do that one again!).

But the abuse we get from some Cardiff fans over union jacks is hypocritical when this happens at their own ground (Click to enlarge, as they say):

    "Cardiff Fans Embrace Foreign Ownership"

Now I really don't care that they feel the need to wave flags of a foreign country at their games. I honestly don't. It's actually quite amusing. But I hope they think twice before they have a pop at us over Union Jacks. It reeks of hypocrisy.

[I haven't posted this on their board but I hope my fellow Jacks remember this for the next time this daft issue is raised.]

Well that's my take as well, NJ. Others feel differently and that's fine too, however I may disagree with them. But that lot coming on here criticising union jacks when their own fans fly the flag of a completely foreign country smacks of rank hypocrisy in my book and I'll be keeping that pic just in case.

Judging by the responses here it's not an issue for most people. Lol. <laugh>

I dont care what the nationality of anyone is who supports the Swans and couldn't care less what flags they want to display. In fact the more the merrier.

Cool, Dilli. The 'rainbow nation' of the Swans. <cool>

I agree. Doesn't matter a jot to me either.

there are couple of malaysian flags around the back of the stadium yes, as the sponsor is malaysia, and the owners are doing their best to promote cardiff city in their homeland. i suspect that picture you got KJ was around the time of the takeover, but i may be wrong <ok>

I think it's actually the corner flag Gary <laugh> Swimaway get down to specksavers! Seriously though are they the ones with lions on them or something?

Also as you can gather by my name, I'm very proud to be British as I am to be a Swansea Jack and also Welsh. So flying the Union Jack is something I'm all for as well as Y Ddraig Goch, and any other flag you care to wave. We used to have Spanish flags at the time of Martinez and I saw one or two Portugese ones for Sousa. I haven't noticed any Northern Irish Flags for Brendan but I'm sure there are a few about. But the more flags the merrier as far as I'm concerned.

I'm glad Cardiff are learning from us and are now flying the Malaysian flag! <ok>

Agree with the above comments totally. <ok>

The point I was making was that we have endured endless **** over some of our fans' use of the Union Jack from the very same lot that are now using their owner's national flag. As NJ says, you couldn't make it up. Just saying I hope we remember this post if and when that stupid debate is raised again.

Flags add colour to any occasion.
Whilst I would personally only fly The Welsh Dragon, which I did at my home in The Gambia,I have no problem with Union Jacks;Spanish;Portuguese;Malaysian;Irish,or any other flag, flying at The Liberty.
Some of the numpties up the road had nothing to talk about football wise, and resorted to the flag fiasco. Idiots all.
Just ignore them, and fly what you like.

Couldn't give a toss about flags to be honest, I think they add to the occasion, mind you would have prefered the name Union John or Paul <whistle><sorry>
