And Man United have no youth team of note, and Fergie won't be able to buy any quality players this summer out of the £10 million transfer kitty he will get.
He needs about 6 players,I reckon he's going to have to sign more portugese tramps and mad french second division players like he did last summer.
Because the likes of Jack Rodwell and Luka Modric will certainly be out of his price range,He also better order those stair-lifts for Giggs and Scholes.
PS.I can't remember what its like to support a club in debt...I wonder if Man United fans will be able to tell me.

You think Liverpool have more spending power, when even your own new yank chairman said they'd have to sell to buy?

Yet again, you stumble over your own words. <laugh>

Your chairman said he has to sell to buy.
Yeah he has to sell.He has to sell players that aren't part of his plans to make room for new additions, whats wrong with that.Clubs with money sell off their deadwood to make room for new signings.Skint clubs offer their **** players new contracts, like Slur Alex had to do with with the crab and Andershite.

Well, to be frank... I think Sir Alex is proving your idiotic opinions wrong. Seeing as United are still in with a shout of 3 trophies.

Whereas your joke of a team could go out of the europa league tonight... and then what?

KPR you sound a bit like Nolhman. That is talking crap. Your club was in serious debt not that long ago or have you just started to follow them?

Seems to me that this is the final throw of the dice for Slur Alex and his penniless pot. And you Mancs know that there is about to be a change of leadership in the prem. Not saying it will be Liverpool (yet), but it certainly won't be your shower, that's for sure. And when you Demi God, Ferguson, does leave, then who will be the new messiah? Especially one who will have to sell to buy? And judging by that, you'll only have a bunch of old cranks fit for the championship.

It may not be 'our year', but we know our futures bright and the new real Manchester derby for us will be from the blue side.

I see. You lot can have a read the future can you? It seems that most Manu fans i speak to in person have the same thoughts as i do.

A state of panic is unlready at Manu. But God forbid if somebody has a different opinion that your lot.

And you wonder why your arrogance is hated by every other football fan, globally.:emoticon-0120-doh:

    What does "unlready" mean?

And when did I try to read the future? I merely pointed out that Liverpool fans have made the same prediction about Utd failing many times in the past. It was Blackburn and Newcastle who were spending more than us and going to replace us in 1995, Leeds in 2001, and Arsenal and Chelsea in 2004. Remind me how they all worked out again?

And you wonder why your fans are the laughing stock of every other football club in the Prem...

If you would have had a closer look, I have made two grammatical mistakes, but I am not that petty as to point that out.

But back to your mind reading. My point wasn't about reading the future of your club, it was aimed at you thinking you know what is going to happen to Liverpool. You sure threw a lot of hypocritcal nonsense at us whilst we went through the ownership saga. The only true forsight the rest of us fans can see is what decisions refs will make at old toilet!

    But you know that already.

And we are the laughing stock of the prem...

When did I say I knew what was going to happen to Liverpool? I have simply pointed out that if Liverpool are to win the Premier League in the future, they will have to be better at dispatching lower quality teams like Blackpool, Stoke and West Ham. That's not a prediction, it's just common sense. It's no different than saying United will have to improve on their current away form if they are going to win the PL this year.

You're the one predicting a change of leadership in the Prem based on what you read in the Daily Mail...

I did'nt single you out, you responded to my comment. I was using a generic pass. We don't need forsight to know we have to beat the teams you've mentioned. And my prediction of a change at the top of the prem..come on, your telling me that this is not going to change???

It is a safe prediction based on the financial clout of your know who.

As for the Daily Mail...your prediction is based on what?

We can see who the stupid one is.

Carroll was bought in an emergency from a huge profit on Torres so we could afford it. Last season he wasn't Andy Carroll, he was just some dude nobody knew much about. Gee, a youngster suddenly hitting the scene? Why, that's unheard of.

To calm yourself look at Torres as £30m and Carroll as £15m. Same £15m profit for Liverpool. Oh, the shrewdness. And PL managers said privately he was a great buy because good young English strikers are at a premium right now.

Meanwhile, PSV turned down Bebe for free in May. He went to Vitória de Guimarães, whoever they are, and they sold him in August to a bloke who hadn't even seen him. For over £7m. That was shrewd of them.

But, y'know, you could always say, "Ah yes, but we had the Ronaldo profit, just the same as you guys had the Torres profit and...oh, now I get it. Duh."

Can I ask you a question.
Is there a sense of desperation regarding Ferguson and Manchester United. Was he saying there was ''no value in the transfer market'' when he paid 28 million for Rooney,28 million for Veron,19 million for Van Nistlerooy,32 million for Berbatov and 28 million for Ferdinand.I don't think so.
He's either defending the Glazers or hiding the fact from United fans that the coffers aren't as full as they would think they are,and is too stubborn to admit it.Its that or he is afraid to join the ''Green and Vomit protest'' in case he upsets his employers.
Is this a sign of weakness.Or does he realise that The Glazers will dismiss him, because they as minority shareholders,
    when
Man United were a PLC know all about his altercations with JP McManus and John Magnier over Rock of Gibralter, whom he claimed ''stud fees'' when he had no entitlement to any, because he had no financial interest in the horse.
Something he stupidly ''forgot''.This must mean that he cannot ''upset the applecart'',as they know he has previous history in kicking up a fuss.
Seeing as the Glazers are the ones with the money, they are the ones that hold all the cards, and he would be fighting a losing battle, the same one that Rafa Benitez lost with Hicks and Gillett.Rafa overstepped the mark and they wrongly dismissed him,but seeing as they had the power, they could.Even though Rafa was fighting on behalf of the fans, because the fans wanted what he wanted,in fact the players wanted, what Rafa and the fans wanted.Because politics affected performances and thats what managers are judged on,Rafa lost his job.
Can the same thing happen to Ferguson,it will if performances drop, which they might if he can't spend significant money to replenish his squad,it may not happen this summer, but it may happen eventually. As they have a few players like Evra and Carrick and O Shea and Vidic hitting the 30 mark.

Of course, but I'm not sure why.

Desperation, I dunno. Squad erosion, undoubtedly. They can't tell us it isn't because we of all fans know what squad erosion due to lack of investment looks like. And when one of their players causes uproar by saying so they can't blame it on him being a Scouser.

Despite the squad erosion Rafa kept a good first 11, which got 2nd. That's where I think Utd currently are. Their erosion is catching up with them and they're running on fumes. There are too many stories of players talking of leaving - Nani the latest to deny it, as all players who don't want the fans to hate them before they're gone do - and as much as Giggs and Scholes can still be subs in a Carling Cup game, having to keep them on isn't what I'd call squad investment.

I think Fergie is desperate to hold on because he sees himself as the best person to manage damage limitation until a new owner comes along. If he speaks against the Glazers they'd retire him and install their own man.

I also think the Glazers will spend in the summer. They'll sell Rooney for a big price and Fergie will have the Rooney money available, some of which he'll spend. The Ronaldo money will be quietly forgotten about.

Stories today have the Glazers talking of moving to an incentive-based wage strategy, which coincidentally is how FSG prefer to operate. I think FSG have considerably more experience with it, though. The Glazers are used to rewarding excellent cleaning of spillage in aisle three. I don't know enough about the Utd wage bill to say how it'll go down with the players, though I hear it didn't go down well when they did it at the Tampa Bay Bucs. No doubt Swarbs will explain how it's the most genius piece of financial footwork since the sale of London Bridge as Tower Bridge.

That's one way to ease the pain of wasting £34 million I suppose. The delusion continues.
