Signing the REAL little Argentinan genius (and his FA cup legend mate!!) Winning the FA cup in 81 & 82. The UEFA cup final in 84. Probably still my best memory of watching Spurs. (Tony Parkes, you are my Hero!!) The sadness of 86/87 season. We were bloody amazing and deserved so much. Ended up with nothing. The FA cup final hurt like hell but losing to the Goons in the league cup semi in a replay after NEVER being behind in 2 full games actually hurt more. Especially as it gave George G his 1st trophy. The league run in 1990. We were ****e until about October / November I think. We ended up 3rd. Still our highest finish for a stupidly long time. We didn't even get into Europe cos it was our 1st season back as a nation and all we got was 1 European cup and 1 Uefa cup place!!! The entire 1990 / 91 season. 4 teams unbeaten after 10 games of the season. LFC, the Goons, us and Crystal Palace!!!. Finding out the true extent of our financial mess (Hummel, the property crash and all that!!) Managing to somehow drag Gazza through the FA cup campaign despite hernia problems (he almost single handedly beat Notts County if I remember). The 91 semi final, (the 1st ever at Wembley!!) What a goal by Gazza, Lineker being his usual brilliant self. The 91 final. Stuart Pearce (England legend) scoring despite a definite foul on Mabbs. Linekers rather ****e penalty. Paul Stewart's goal!! Venables out foxing Cloughie, (he never did mange to win the FA cup!!). Watching Mabbs lift the cup!!! 1991 / 92. Realising that Venables didn't want to coach any more and seeing our slow painful decline into a mid table side for nearly 15 horrible years. Venables V Sugar. The 1993 / 94 season, my worst ever watching THFC. FFS we were just absolute ****e all season. The truly ridiculous up and down 1994/95 season!! deducted 12 points, reduced to 6, signing Jurgen and the 2 Romanians. Starting the season brilliantly, watching it go horribly tits up for Ossie in front of the building site we now call the Park lane!!! Seeing Gerry F guide us up the league and getting to the Semi of the FA cup after we were originally banned from it!!! The utter ****e that actually was the Semi final (bloody Amokachi!!) Beating Southampton 6 - 2 with that striking genius the Rocket tearing the pitch up. (Andertons goal making Bruce look stupid was good too!) "Nayim, from the halfway line" Our ridiculous injury problems throuout the 90's Alan Nielson scoring our only goal in a 7 -1 loss to that bloody good Keegan Newcastle side (it stopped it equalling our record defeat and convinced Keegan to quit as his heart wasn't in it any more!!) Christian Gross and his "determinated" side (and not forgetting his travelcard!) Finding out we has George G as Manager!!! Alan Nielson in the league cup final (despite being down to 10 men because Robbie Savage is a ****!) Being at the Kaiserslauten away match knowing we only had to draw. We did for about 87 minutes (ish) then watching us let Djorkyaeff (sp) score. Thinking "its O.K, Ginola is on now and were playing well. Then watching us (Carr) let Djorkyaeff (sp) score in injury time. Having to wait at the bloody airport for hours while the Spurs coach arrived before we could go home. Still, we had a great kickabout in their high street in the afternoon!! Signing Rebrov. Realising that he was not going to help us win the league after all!! Judas. Finally beating Chelsea in the League cup semi 2nd leg after SO long, and my God how we did it!!!! The league cup final and the realisation that Hoddle had peaked in that Semi final. Santini's bus against Jose's Chelsea!! BMJ and the restoration of our pride at last!! Berbatov's 1st season. BMJ getting stitched up royally. (he may have reached the end of the road at Spurs but he was treated like ****) Berbatov's strop to leave. Woodgates header to win the cup against Chelsea in 08' Realising Ramos was total ****e. Finally hearing Ramos speak and realising that NO-ONE could take him seriously!!! Seeing Ardiles, Villa, Perryman, Hoddle, Archibald, Roberts, Galvin, Danny Thomas, (Marradona in the friendly at the lane), Clive Allen's 49!! Richard Gough for only one season. Mabbutt, Waddle, Gazza, that "line-acre chap", Erik the Viking (and his gloves donation every match!!), Klinsmann, Teddy, Anderton (when fit!), Ginola, Sir Les, King, Keane in his 1st stint with us, Defoe, Robbo, Dawson, Lennon, Modric, Bale, VDV and lots of others I missed out playing for the Spurs. seeing, Mitchell Thomas, Bobby Mimms, Paolo Trammezani, Kevin bloody scott, Ramon "runs like he needs a ****" Vega, Gordon Durie, Jose Domingues, Stuart nethercot's airshot against Southampton, Jason ****ing Cundy (good goal against Ipswich though!), Jason Dozell, Keane in his 2nd stint with us playing for the Spurs!! Knowing that this is the best squad of plyers we have had for about 25 years. There's alot of other things I'm sure I've missed and not exactly in order, but its 4AM and I've just got back from a lap dancing bar in Aberdeen and my mind is not fully focused!!! COYS
At the time it did!!! Mind you it's very difficult to concentrate on anything when there is no more blood in your brain!!
