    Two questions:

Taarabt scored 20 goals in the championship last season and yet has not scored 1 this season in the Premiership. You may say its a higher league but Sinclair for Swansea has scored 7. So why no goals?

Hughes said the trip to Portugal would help the team gel and he has done that with other teams and its worked. Why then did that not work as I thought we looked lost as a team today and it wasn't just because of the sending off?

No offence Northlondon but I would have thought that easy to work out?

Isn't it because he's not very good?

He was one of the stand outs last season in the Champ. Really surprised he hasn't clicked in the Prem. Did he not have a bit of a falling out with Warnock?

To be fair the impression I got was that he was nearly always having a tantrum about something last season. Either he wanted to play for his country and was retiring from internationals because he wasn't, or he wanted subbing because his team mates expected him to move more than 3 yards to get the ball. It didn't stop him being the best player on the pitch most games then so I can't see him being an annoying little twit being the sole cause of his lack of form this season.

He is possibly suffering now because he can't get away with it as much as he could before though. Last season he was Billy big bollocks in the squad and people would tolerate it because he was so good. I wonder if having people like Barton (ego) and SWP (reputation) around him the rest of the squad are less tolerant and are telling him where to go because he's no longer the standout player in the squad and that's affecting his confidence.

he really is a talented lad, who may even get to play one day, for the clubs he thinks he deserves. so surely he needs to get used to being a 'bit part' in a team of premiership quality players. (not that i'm saying we have a team of that quality)

Last year he played far in excess of his actual abilities - a bit like the team as a whole really. We were not the best team in the Division but we had the winning habit. Adel is not nearly as good as he thinks. On his day he is magical but he hasnt had a 'day' for best part of 12 months now.

His shots on target today were all weak efforts and if he keeps playing like that he will never score.

If he's not careful the nearest he's going to get is playing for that Russian club I'm not going to try to spell that signed Etoo and Roberto Carlos. With their players being treated the way they are by their chairman and the money that gets paid he'll have the lifestyle he wants, but he won't get the glory of winning meaningful trophies, which you would expect him to look back on and regret (because he could have had it all). At least he'll have his millions to comfort himself.

I've been saying it for nearly 12 months now...Its because he's not a premiership player..he just aint good enough...

Anyone who watch Robbie savage completely outplay him last season would know that...

He has skill, vision and a touch, but not the mental determination, drive or nouce that separates a good championship player from a prem player....

Anyone can go over rectory park and watch 100's of kids trap balls, juggle and nutmeg people...it takes more than that...and he aint got it..."Arry" knew that and thats why he's with us....

Now as for JB, SWP...dont get me started....!!

Its not all Adels fault though, we're just not very good at the moment!!

Some of us may never see a player like adel at our club again in this lifetime! His shots were weak yesterday but at least he was shooting!!!! The ball he played for swp probably couldn't have been played by any of our other midfielders! Unless barton raised his right arm first!! Adel constantly has barton on his case as seen yesterday. a captain should be encouraging and motivating team mates not bolloking them! The more you bollok someone the more they shy away from the ball. this lad has all the talent in the world and he should be free to express it without getting rubbish from his so called captain who doesn't have a millionth of his talent or ability. Should we replace adel with another player who runs does the odd tackle well and can't deliver a deadball under no pressure??? I know who i would rather have!!!

I dont disagree with most of that Bob....

the ball he played for SWP was the touch of genius and skilll we just can never expect from a qpr player...best pass all season by a mile....
His problem is (any sort of ) consistency...

Like i said, he has all the physical skill needed, just lacking mentally...IMO....

But we have to keep him because we have no-one else who can do what he does...in short we're short of a decent playmaker...mainly due to Faurs injury (selfish git!)

We keep harping on about last season and how good he was but think about it....It was a (much) lower standard, Derry & Fuars allowed him to play like that & defenders in the championship..aint that great

What we need right now is a regular consistant good solid pro in CM, exctly what JB was supposed to be doing.....

I think we've given del his time in the prem and he aint really delivered has he?

We can all blame this reason and that, but most of his problems came from im saying he wanted to go to PSG and them sulking when he couldnt go....Only ! person that is to blame for that..step forward Adel..!

For the recoed bob, i hope we never see another player like him at our club again...even sir les, bowles, marsh et al were willing to put it in for the team

If that's the case with adel then on that basis someone on quadruple his wages and team captain should be flogged!!!

    Queenslander,

You seem to be watching our games on a different plane or parallel universe. The pass he played yesterday has been replicated by AT in other games this season. You clearly did not see his passes to SWP against Newcastle both of which opened the way to a clear unimpeded shot on goal but then it was to SWP so he fluffed both. The goal that Zamora scored against Wolves started with a slide rule pass from AT inside the defender. The fightback against Sunderland came when he was brought on and played some incisive passes. Does not play for the team? You surely are having a laugh. Only Ali Faurlin has come any where near a defence splitting pass like that this season.

The reason he is not scoring is because he was discouraged from doing so by NW. Be more of a team player he said. To a man who had more assists than any other player in the Championship. MH has let him loose again and it is only a matter of time before one pops in. With hindsight, I do wonder whether it would have been wiser to let him take the penalty against Chelsea. Perhaps it is the person to whom the ball has been played whose ability should be questioned. If you have a maverick genius in your team don't expect him to play the role of enforcer or grafter.

We all recognise that team spirit was one of the factors that led to our winning the Championship. I wonder what the other one was. Clue. Two words. First begins with A and the second begins and ends with a "T".

So my Aussie friend, who do you want in the team in his place and who did you want last season as he clearly does not, and never has, cut it for you?

The truth is somewhere between the two extreme positions here. He was the only player to show any spark yesterday and offered a real threat whenever he was running at Fulham. But it is hard to ignore the 7-8 shots that either missed the target or could have been swatted away with a feather duster.

So off the mark it's untrue. Adel has been one of our main attacking threats this season.

Adel has been one of our best players this season, arguably the best since Faurlin went down injured. He is the only creative spark in the team. He also is the only 1 in the midfield capable of taking it round players or making a pass. The biggest problem is that he plays his best when he feels the team is built around him. That means stripping the useless child known as Barton of the captaincy, handing it to Adel and actually allowing him to take corners and free kicks. The bit yesterday when Barton had a go at him was disgraceful as Adel achieves more in terms of chances created and passes completed in 1 match, than Barton has managed during his entire time at LR.
