If we would be in a better situation now if the goons were still in charge. What's that you say?
Hear me out. They weren't spending any money on new players, we were going to have to make do with what we had, our championship-winning team, more or less. That side had one thing this current hotch-potch don't, and that's team spirit, and fight, and all hands to the wheel etc etc.
Not enough for the premiership, I hear you say. Possibly true, but at this stage of the season would they have yielded us less points and poorer performances than mismatch and co?
    That is debatable.
But what is not in doubt is the huge debt tied to the club's neck from transfer fees and contracts and seriously pissed off owners who are not used to this lousy return from their investment and who in all honesty look like jumping off the sinking ship and taking their chequebooks with them.
    Anyone else feel this way?

Wed have been better off if we started the season with our NPC team, getting SWP and Barton has killed us, both of them are worthless and on 5 times the amount other players are on. How would you feel if some cock came to your place on 500k a year and couldnt even do his job properly yet was bring a real prick to you?

Absolutely spot on. I was there at Everton when our Championship side played as though they meant it and came away with a 1-0 win. A couple of weeks later they were jettisoned in favour of Barton, SWP, Ferdinand, and Bothroyd from injury.

Have felt this for some time now. We would have been far better off as a club if we had stuck largely with the championship winning team and not saddled ourselves with all these overpaid and under performing mercenaries . As welcome as Tf was at the time we have bought very very poorly and the amount of debt the club could be in when we are relegated will make the 10million Abc debt seem small in comparison. Barton alone is on £4m a year and several others aren't far behind. Relegation could be a club-buster and yes much as I hated them the situation is potentially much worse than if the goons had stuck it out!!
