I am absolutely convinced that one of the first things Warnock will do is give the captaincy to Snoddy. I have nothing against Lonergan, but goalkeepers are not captains and having watched him as captain on a few occassions, I am even more convinced he's not the right man. We need a leader and someone who will have a go at players for not doing the right thing or not pulling their weight, and in the current Leeds team that has to be Snoddy. Warnock himself stated in his interview with Yorkshire Radio that we lacked leaders on the pitch and I'm sure he has already made the decision to make Snoddy captain. An older manager with lots of experience and a wee Scottish lad as the club captain, where have I heard that before?
I'll have that kind of "source" anytime! I have to admit to being a bit of a fan of the old bottle of this....
On a serious note, I dont think Snoddy is captain material. Great player to have and whatnot and does put a decent amount of workrate in but I seriously don't think he is captain material, this is a role that needs to be brought into the club
We have no one who's captain material unfortunately and now we have no way of getting some one in who is.
I always said that the captain should take some of the stick for poor performances and that Howson wasn't stepping up to the mark. Next problem to sort now that NW is in.
Agree, Snoddy is a fantastic player but he is not captain material. If I'm ones I can't see any of the players as captain material.
Could be something to do with the fact he gave away out formation, team and tactics against Palace and then went off and joined em very soon after....
That's the poisoned dwarf's story. And we can all trust Bates' boy, can't we? Suspect the team might have broken his legs if it was true.
Well well, still not found where I actually stated that he definately would, instead of it being up to him..zzzzzz. Anyway, it's the right appointment.
