Having watched both teams live on tv today, I was much more impressed with Reading. There seems to be a perception by most people that the Hammers are pretty much nailed on for automatic promotion, but from what I have seen this season from our three teams, I would put my money on us and Reading being the top two in May. West Ham may have the better squad and finances, but Reading and ourselves are better organised and play the better football and have the best two managers in the league IMO.

If you mean finances by debt then yes, they do...
When we played Reading at their place they looked very good, they are the best team I've seen us play in the championship.

I think most of the league would much rather Us and Reading to go up.

the only thing about reading is that i think that's now 9 wins in last 11 which means they should have negative result or two soon.

if they keep that form up until the end of the season then fair play.

Agreed, we were very, very, lucky to get a point at Reading. The only team that really outplayed us over the whole game.

Funnily enough, The Hammers have started to play a little bit rather than their earlier hoof game...

Rather premature to count West Ham out of the race methinks.

Heh, every team that has reached third and looked to be threatening has had a bit of a stumble. They certainly have a chance, but their final eight games of the year are extremely tricky...they'll have to be on their best form over the next three weeks to remain in a position to challenge for the autos, as they close by facing most of the top half of the table.

Erm... What? West Ham are only 1 point behind us with a game in hand ffs. Reading are on a run at the moment, fair play to them, but they won't keep it up, their squad isn't deep enough.

it's shaping up to be an interesting run in for the neutral. Birmingham did poorly today but they've had a good run already and are still in striking distance, Brighton are looking good and now have the cup distraction removed - even CMS scored!

As Reading hit form then we just have to make sure they displace WHU rather than us. Still think it will probably be the Hammers and us, but would be good to be Reading and us. The important bit is the word 'us'. We're hitting form now...3 wins in last four games, 10 goals for and 1 goal against.

I think you can quite safely rule Brighton out.

I think Reading may have peak too early this season.Last season they won 10 out of their last 14 games and they are going on a similar run,but it might be a bit too early.

I can see another 3-0 win ala Middlesbrough in that game.

I'd like Reading and Us to go up, automatically. It would give Graeme Murty something to really cheer about after hanging up his boots.

Whilst I would prefer it was us and Reading who went up automatically (I've always had a soft spot for Reading), I really do think West Ham are nailed on for automatic promotion. Maybe not nailed on for title, but certainly automatic.

I don't think it's a three horse race though, not at all. Birmingham could go level with Reading next weekend, so if Reading are still in then surely so are Birmingham. And whilst winning their games in hand wont be easy, Hull aren't exactly in a position to be hoping for favours from others (as unlike Birmingham, West Ham and Cardiff, they can still take three points off us).

It'll be tough for Blackpool, Boro and Cardiff, but by no means count them out either. There's still easily enough time. Brighton are one slip up away from being out of it though.
