Check it out, expereinced defender (just what we needed) and a striker (great as I think Winchlow is more of a winger). All in all a good week of signings for WW. Lets just hope they give us a boost we need.

Also I notice that Trotta has gone to Watford, good luck to him as he was too good for us.

Hayes could be great for you. He was playing well in a successful team at the start of our season and was only dropped because we signed Kermorgant who has been outstanding. No fault of Hayes. Very unlucky player. Hasn't had a chance since so must have had a row with management. More of a support striker than an out and out goalscorer.

Docherty, I fear, will be no use to you. His legs seem to have totally gone. No better than Ryman Isthmian standard these days.

This is good, the new players should freshen things up and hopefully give the rest of the squad a lift. A win tomorrow and a bit of positivity might return to the club and us fans.

Whats the deal with the loan rules? I thought we were at our maximum of 5 allowed at one time when Eastmond and Hackett signed. Presumably Harper has gone back seeing as he's injured for his last game tomorrow, but that still leaves us 1 over the limit?? I'm sure someone involved has thought this through or we might be in trouble!

I was wondering the same. Is it five in the squad or five in the team that is allowed?

its 5 in the squad, leaving us with eastmond hackett doherty and hayes, as well as whichelow, harper and laing. i expect whichlow will go back, he seems disinteressted and has openly said himself he is just trying to win back his place in the watford team.

delighted with both signings - even is dohertys legs have gone, he would slot into our defence nicely!

I've just tried to read the league rules on loan signings, but had to give up nursing a headache.
The limit of 5 applies to the team sheet for a given match, so shouldn't be a problem.
But the way I read it, there is a limit for the season of 8 (4 under 23 and 4 over 23).
I don't think Basey and McNamee count as they became permanent signings, but by my reckoning that still leaves us on 10; Rowlands, Bignall, Trotta, Harper, Laing, Whichelow, Eastmond, Hackett, Doherty and Hayes (have I missed any, it's difficult to keep up?).
But I think the league has to approve each loan, so I'm very confused. I suppose the lesson is don't try to understand league regulations.
Can anybody explain what I have missed?

Exactly what I was going to say Jose. Some were youth loans which I believe our different to other loans.
