Wolves primary rivals are Walsall? From Wiki, Wolves " Main local rivals are West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa and Birmingham City; with lesser rivalries with Stoke City and Walsall" Walsall "They have rivalries with neighbouring Black Country teams, West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers (though these teams are often more concerned with their rivalry against each other, rather than against Walsall), with more 'reciprocal' rivalries against Shrewsbury Town, Wrexham, Crewe and Port Vale." It would seem you are wrong. Even Walsall fans admit Wolves arent that concerned about them. btw, if anyone knows the person who does the music at Loftus Road, can you ask them to play "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam on Saturday to make our wax jacket wearing, rugby watchers to feel at home.
I've said it before, but its worth hearing again for its ability to sum up the new Fulham fan. When asked about his first Fulham game - Hugh Grant said: "Um ah, um, crikey. I think it was against 'W', 'B', 'A'" As West Brom aren't universally known as.
i hop it will drive us on to get revenge, if we score early i think you might see the banners disappear
No I meant Walsall view Wolves as some kind of big rival but no Wolves fan I know considers anybody outside the Birmingham clubs as rivals. Wolves fans actually like Walsall to do well, in contrast Walsall detest Wolves
Cerny - sorry, missed your post there yesterday evening; kids been up in the night ill, so got to bed early expecting another disrupted night's sleep! Apart from that, I'm very good thanks. Any gossip to share? Any truth in this Michael Ballack stuff?
But thats how it always is, I asked if there was any where it was the other way around. eg a Top tier team considers a team thats been around the lower leagues a rival but the lower tier team doesnt consider that top tier team a rival.
Sorry. I misread thinking that 60 Fulham fans were going to be waving at their cup final. Surely they won't bring that many.
No, but the difference is now Chelsea hate us back because while most of our fans have been going for years so remember the previous matches. Most of theirs are so new that they dont even know we were in the original PL.
Technically Derby/Forest and Leicester. Palace and Charlton - although thats clutching at straws slightly
The former have been in the same divisions for a while and Palace and Charlton is definitely 2 way. It would be like Brentford getting to the PL (dont laugh) and us being obsessed with them and them wondering what all the fuss is about.
"Darling I do hope Rupert holds the sign up the right or many will think we are just displaying a numeric range ... \d Matches a digit [0-9] of course that won't confuse most of the Fulham fans as most are fully trained in regex building syntax.
Even their manager is at it! "In the first game against QPR you felt the sort of feeling that this was new," Jol told reporters. "It was a derby game and I feel if you look at the reactions after the game from our fans, it is a big game now and in the future. "In the past I think it was a good derby game but it is now probably a bigger derby game than Chelsea.
Thats what i meant to say but some how my brain and hands didnt connect and i missed half of it out...
Chelsea is a different kind of game. QPR vs Fulham is far different. Neither side is really the underdog and both see themselves as the bigger and better club in every respect. My opinion is that QPR vs Fulham is the proper West London Derby because they are both community clubs and IMO not too dissimilar. I think it is slightly one sided in that it's probably a bigger game for Fulham than for QPR, especially considering the Hughes and Zamora factor. I think Chelsea is different because they are just the club people love to put one over, I'm just basing this on Milwall and Palace supporters I've come across btw. Admittedly I don't know that many QPR fans so I could be wrong. I just think hatred is different to rivalry. I think both Fulham and QPR hate Chelsea but isn't a rivalry. Whereas I don't think Fulham and QPR hate each other but it is a rivalry and a game in which both sides would want to win more than say... Wigan at home.
