Does anyone know what the situation is with Murray and Deeney, as I feel these two will be crucial for us getting anything out of this

No news as of yet i dont think. But i will look into it. If all players play like they can then it should be very close.

If all players play like they can then there is only one result. Watford will lose! The table doesn't lie.

    Hornets

I've seen the Moon under Water is the recommended away pub and avoid the Red Lion is that right?

What's the Oddfellows like, is it away friendly? Any other choices?Cheers.

Moon Under Water is good for a cheap pint, it's a Weaterspoons and away-friendly! I tend to go to the Walkabout (or O'Neills, now O'Malleys) to watch the early game (is it West Ham this weekend?) then head to the ground. It's a bit further up the high street though! To be fair, doubt you'll get any trouble in any of the pubs!

The Red Lion is closed at the moment....

Moon under water seems to be the one which is always suggested, however i have no experience of it. Its in the town center and about 5-10mins from the ground. The walk is easy enough, just follow the crowd.

The Red Lion is currently undergoing renovation after the club bought it, so wont be open this weekend, but it should be good when it is.

Oddfellows is a good pub, i was there for a Saracens match a year ago, and its always full before a match, its less than 5mins from the ground and as far as i know its away friendly.

    Except for Bristol City though?
Oddfellows is close to the ground and is for away fans...

    Thanks for that.

So for the early match it's Walkabout or O'Malley's? Does The Oddfellows have any TV screens? Cheers.

On the contrary. Proper football fans (and Southampton have a good number of those) know that when Watford turn it on, we are a team that everyone in the division should fear. Our comprehensive performances last season against the likes of Norwich and QPR demonstrate that, and there have been a few this season too.

Our problem for a while now has been that most of our talented players are young and thus prone to inconsistency and loss of form. The underlying talent of our youngsters is up there with anyone in this division, as proven by the success rate of players we sell to bigger clubs.

  16. Ooooh, I am jealous listening to you all making your plans for match day. I was unable to get a ticket so I shall be sat at home watching the 6 Nations and seeing England getting steam-rollered by the Welsh. As and when I feel brave enough I shall check the footie scores...

Not really at this level - the number of bets being placed makes them statistically insignificant. And if that were the case, the first time the book is open, both sides would have the same odds (maybe a small difference for those who are at home)

Nice thread! This is an interesting one....Watfords form seems to have been good recently until the Palace result. How will that affect you? Saints have improved dramatically of late more akin to our early season form, although having played Cardiff, West Ham and Birmingham recently and picking up draws in each it's not overly obvious that our form has picked up, although the result against Derby may have turned a few heads that we are back.

One thing that will need to pick up if Saints are to get an auto spot is our away form which has remained poor for a side challenging at the top. I am semi-confident of getting a win here and will go for a 1-2 win but I can see it being a close one. As other have said, if Saints score early then they tend to go on and score more however if the opposition get in our faces, pack the midfield and don't let us play then we will struggle.

Good luck for the rest of the season Hornets (apart from the game on Saturday I'm sure you'll understand )
