Man Utd and Arsenal have won it recently though. In recent years you've been the biggest bottlers in this competition and are currently being played off the park by a team that was League 2 last year <ok>

All I'm saying is given the fact we are the most successful team in this competition in the last decade and a half, I'd appreciate a little more humility from YV f I'm being honest <cheers>

And after all this, you get Leicester at home (if you beat Brum)

Still be hard as they're twice as good as Birmingham <laugh>

Bolton at home, not too bad for you lot either. Could be a Spurs Chelsea final <yikes>

Damn. Three point Lane away would have been good for a cup game. 7k Chelsea there like the old days.

And we owe them one; we've outplayed them but they lucked draws v us (partly our fault; we missed a pen)

Last season it was the referee's lack of bottle that cost us. Had he sent off Gomes as he should have we would have been taking a pen against an outfield player. And this season BAE playing basketball in the penalty area went unnoticed. We never seen to get the rub of the green in away derbies

Lets just hope its another cracker like our Carling Cup match a few years ago if you manage to beat Birmingham

At the minute we are like you. 1 week we look the real deal and the next so bad its unbelievable. I dont think AVB will be there much longer, if you dont get a good result in the week i think that could be it for him

Still we did get a perfectly good goal disallowed. If that isn't the 'rub of the green' then I'm not sure what is

When was this? I've been to the last 3 games between us and I don't recall a perfectly good goal being disallowed <ok>

I think you will get through, Birmingham had their chance at the weekend. Chelsea are a club who need some change on the field as the team is getting too old. The JT, AVB circus off the pitch hasnt helped.

One week we look solid at the back and poor up front and the next week look dangerous going forward but useless at the back.

While i think it will be very tough for us to win I dont think you are the same sort of team you was 2 or 3 years ago. Everytime i watch motd Alan Hansen is tearing into the defenders. Winnable but very difficult game for us

2 or 3 years ago I'd have been almost booking my ticket to Wembley but I think Leicester have a great chance of beating whoever they face. I think we'll beat Birmingham.

Birmingham conceded only 6 goals in 16 games in the league. Good luck Chelsea. you haven't faced Zigic in the previous game..<whistle>

The Cup draw on paper has been good to us, but in a funny way thats not what we needed. With Birmingham , all we thought we had to do was turn up!!It wasn't much different against Queens Park Queens either! We only seem to come alive when there's top drawer opposition! If we get past Birmingham I forecast a fingernail chewing experience against Leicester!

Adebayor was onside (he had three goals in a row wrongly ruled out - Stoke, Chelsea and Wolves)
