Anyone go? Is this now officially our worst run of results ever?

Yes I was there Lenny - 1 of the 188. We deserved better today. The first half performance especially was good and the youngsters did very well. I'm afraid a poor referee cost us today. The foul on Tomlin at 1-0 looked inside the box to me but the man in black decided it was an inch outside and no card despite Tomlin being in one on one with the keeper. We made a bit of a mess of the free kick and within 30 seconds found ourselves at 1-1. Their penalty came after their wide man had evaded our defence by nut-megging someone in the front row of the Lorne Street stand - seen by everyone except linesman and referee. Then after their penalty, there was a very similar shove on Tomlin which the ref chose to waive away.

Worst run ever - I have dreadful memories of the 1988 run of 12 (I think) league defeats in a row. I remember George Burley scoring the goal in a 1-0 win that ended that run but we still went down.

If we play like we did today and get the rub of the green we'll collect enough points to stay up this season but I'm now very reluctantly resigned ton the fact that it's gonna be league 2 for us again next season.

Thanks for the update, it's funny how our expectations have changed. More worried about staying up than going up!!!

i'd say thats what andy hess has been trying to put across over the last few games to players and fans alike, that if we can go on a run things can turn in our favour again very quickly...putting us back in the mix.

though i do tend to agree with the last two comments, that we are no doubt headed in the other direction i'm afraid !!! :emoticon-0106-cryin

A short run will put us back in the playoffs. It wasn't long ago that we pulverised Torquay on their own ground and look where they (and Oxford) are now. Swindon......a team with real ambition and a manager who believes his own press.......plus a lot of money.
I too think div 2 next season as we'd probably get battered in the first leg of the playoffs on this viewing anyway......

LoVe hessy, always a gills legend, but it's simply not working, he should stay somewhere in the club but not as manager. Time for a change
