I think as fans we have a duty to try and make this happen, if someone was to draft a generic letter to club and post it on here do you think if everyone posted it to the club then they would respond? Just an idea to give the man the recognition he deserves

I have signed the petition - thanks for starting that. I also think he deserves to be nominated for an honorary knighthood by the Queen. He is a special person and deserves such an honour for all the good he has done for the club, local community and charity, as well as being a great ambassador for UK football. Anyone know how to go about nominating someone for a knighthood?
Yes, name a stand after Sir Niall Quinn. I don't think you would find one fan of Sunderland who would disagree. A fantastic man and ambassador of our club.
If as is rumoured, that they are making the South Stand home fans only, this is surely the perfect opportunity to name that stand after him: even if it is accompanied by a sponsors name..
