It's called Humble Pie and consists of a stuffed canary complete with sour grapes and a sprinkling of bitter lemon.
Most of their fans have been brilliant, but just reading another post some seem to think they should have buried us! Norwich are a better team, no doubt and deserve to be where they are, Leicester is a bigger club though and hopefully will be back in the EPL mix sooner rather than later!
Bigger club dont think so bud,you will never be as big as norwich can only manage to fill 70% of your ground this season thats shocking, good win over us yesterday and credit for that , bigger club though never in a million years.
Half a season in the PL and you think you're a bigger club because you can fill a 28k stadium in every week.
"you will never be as big as norwich", christ i hope your right mate..cos that would mean we had disbanded and started up again as a pub outfit..
We have been selling our ground out for years you bunch of dimwits, even with your foreign investers your still going nowhere enjoy your championship football next year and the year after and th......
thanks mate..im really glad you have taken your whipping so well...im sure you will get over it in a few years..
Yeah, in the middle of nowhere! You probably have a catchment area of about 50 miles. There's not a team anywhere near you bar Ipswich.
Don't know why we are taking umbrage - we damn near sold out evey game when we were in the Prem if I recall rightly, so its's no surprise to see a club of Norwich's size doing so now .. but that ignores the fact that Leicester is te 10th biggest city in the UK, on population, and that a succesful Leicester City, in the Prem, and with sensible pricing, should be able to sustain attendaces of over 40,000 ... now with the best will in the world that would be difficult for Norwich, partcularly as sisters, cousins, girlfriends and wives are often the same person in that part of the world.
Norfolk: population 900,000. No other clubs for miles. Leicestershire: population 950,000. Other clubs nearby: Derby, the Nottinghams, Coventry, even Birmingham is close enough to support. Record crowd for Norwich: 43,984 (against Leicester in an FA Cup match!) Record crowd for Leicester: 47,289. Hardly a huge difference is there? Also, we sold out the stadium when we were in League one- has nothing to do with us being the premier league.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! We're not Welsh you prat, we're the other side of the country. Let me give you a hand- to take the mick out of a Norfolkian you make (a) inbred jokes (b) bernard matthews turkey jokes (c) pig/turnip farming jokes (see Top Gear for examples) OR (d) Delia Smith jokes. But sheep? AHAHAHAHA you fool I imagine there are more sheep in Leicestershire than in Norfolk, not good for sheep our soil.
still touchy...relax have a lay down. your resorting to the "you have more sheep then us " ploy, are you? its been tried before son, I know for a fact there are far more shepherds in norfolk by a country mile..ergo.. more sheep.. face it ,your output of wool is miles more than ours...matthews and delia have cornered the mint source market everbody knows that...don't deny it, norfolk is the capital of sheep..FACT...
Canary Rob - just playing with you mate - on your points - we are the ONLY league club in Leicestershire and arguably we would draw more support from outside our county boundaries than lose it i.e Nuneaton is just over the border in Warwickshire but we have always drawn good support from there, in fact we probably get more support from there than Cov do - likewise from Kettering and Corby in Northamptonshire ...
In the midlands you have got Leicester, Derby, Forest, Notts County, Birmingham, Wolves, Aston Villa, West Brom, Coventry and Stoke arent too far They all have decent fanbases. We have a hardcore fanbase of about 20000 who turn up every week.
