    Which would it be

    Newcastle away

    or

quarter final of the fa cup

trying to look at the newcastle game as if it was just any other prem game (hard I know) its only 3points at the end of the day and we could go out and win the week after as its a league. The FA Cup though lose and your out and even though we could still get knocked out in the semi final I would still take the risk.

We are possibly 2games away from Europe depending on who we would play in the final if we got there, for me that would make up for losing to Newcastle.

FA Cup for me but just

Thats a hard one actually, if it was the FA Cup Final or Newcastle away, it would be the final, but we may get beat in the semi final if we get through the next round, so it doesnt mean that much in hindsight winning the 1/4 final.

I would have to go Newcastle away for that one.

But if you don't win the Quarter Final, you can't win the Final!

    Quarter final hands-down for me.

Newcastle away is what it is, an exciting derby game, and we are itching to 'set the record straight' after poor recent results against them. But at the end of the day, it's just a rivalry, and it's just a PL fixture. Three points would be nice, but there's another 12 games to pick up points in.

An FA Cup semi final (and possibly final/win from there) is bigger in my eyes. We need to stop judging our success against NUFC and start judging it by how far we can go (which, this season, is a Cup win ;))

Newcastle Away = 3 points further away from relegation, more importantly, 3 points on the team below us, 3 points closer to Newcastle, will knock them down a place or 2, may stop them getting 4th/5th/6th/7th, we may even finish above them with a win, Bragging rights till next season, £800,000 for every extra place we get in the PL (FA Cup winners just get 1.8mil even though i would love to get the FA Cup).

Its a very very close call, but luckily we never have to make that decision and we will win both anyway (I hope)

    Cup tie.

    No competition for me.

If it was the other way round, the Mags would say the same.

We got over the 5-1, we'd get over another defeat, we've had plenty.

Lose the cup tie, and the seasons over, lose the derby, and we can still finish top 10 and win the cup.

    Is this a serious question?

Comparing beating the mags which we have done many times before against winning the FA cup?

Secondly, why do we have to choose? We can win both...

how many of you can remember the Millwall game off the top of your heads?
how many of you can remember the Newcastle game away in 2007/2008 off the top of your heads?

Sunderland at Wembley any day of the week with a chance of winning the FA cup, besides winning a cup is much more of a bragging right than winning 1 derby.

i thought this exact thing last night, and it was the cup. You can have the derby rights for one season. Everyone remembers who wins the cup.

Stevenage are giving Spurs a hell of a game here, if somehow Spurs went, anything could happen.

What price Brighton get a result against a very average Liverpool side who struggle against supposedly lesser teams at home, and an awful Chelsea side come a cropper away to Brum?

    Aye, I know you're right.

On Spurs anyway, less convinced on the other 2.
