Think they are right, didn't he turn Leicester down for them and was prepared to turn Leeds down as well.

Not just Clarkie getting the bullet, all the Geordies are getting their marching orders.

**The Terriers will continue their League One campaign under the temporary guidance of Academy coach Mark Lillis, with Clark appointments and fellow former Magpies Terry McDermott, Paul Stephenson and Steve Watson also looking as if they're following Clark out of the door.**

Maybe Robbie Elliott's going to have some company on his bike ride?

 

Would be good publicity if they did do it but I don't think they'll be quite fit enough.

 

Let them do a stage each ,if they could get the players that came through with Elliott (Watson, Clark, Howey, etc) it would be fantastic publicity.

 

Great publicity and the more that took part the more sponsors there'd be.

Maybe one or two of the current team could start off with them and ride a short distance, get even more publicity and more cash.

 

This, a bit like with Chrissy Hughton, when Ashley saw an opportunity to get a more recognized manager in and push for higher position, luckily for Ashley (and more importantly us) it worked out, although who is to say Hootz couldn't have achieved the same.

 

I think CH would have continued doing well and done a great job for us.

 

Nothing would have been that different under Hughton for me. Same scouts, same players would have come in. Fortunately for us Pardew was quite shrewd and able to put his ego to one side, simply continuing the path we were on. To me Hughton lost his job because he couldn't get the bonus sheet signed and mainly because his wage was due to sky rocket

Clarkie was 100% toon, gave his all for us and I'd really like to see him given an opportunity with a decent club to show what he can do.
