There seems to be plenty of opinions kicking around as to the present squad being our best ever.

Thinking along the same lines, what do you think is our best starting 11.post 70's
consisting of English players only.(based on their careers overall)

Here's my quick selection to start ball rolling.

    WOODS,
    CULVERHOUSE,DUBLIN,BRUCE,DRURY,
    EADIE,PETERS,CROOK,HUCKERBY
    SUTTON,CHANNON.

    SUBS; GREEN,NAUGHTON,BUTTERWORTH,SHERWOOD,GORDON.

    MANAGER MIKE WALKER

No doubt not many will agree.:undecided:

Ron Saunders, Ken Brown, John Bond or Dave Stringer <ok>

Surprised you haven't included Dave Stringer in your original line up but what do I know! <laugh>

<laugh> yeah but all the subs are english so i guessed you meant an all-english team, subs and manager! dave stringer would be my manager by the way, other than that i agree with most of the team but i wouldn't have dublin at the back - swap him with butterworth and i think its an excellent team <ok>

I'd have Greg Downs, John Deehan, Louis Donowa and Mark Barham in there somewhere.

    Plus Goss and Fox.

And you appear to have overlooked Grant Holt.

Keelan played for England XI in Trevor Brooking's testimonial 1977.
    Certainly qualifies as English.
