Nope. Understandable I suppose from their point of view. Realistically its a big wide world out there and if folk want to chat with certain others it seems a bit daft to prevent it given this is the only place most will have come across each other. This place will pick up with new users and maybe posters who browse but don't post much.

 

I'll try and improve my posts.
Be more frequent, but i work long crappy hours so it's sometimes a problem.

 

I'm still on both myself but been posting more over there in the last few days, not really much been going on over here and I'm starting to quite enjoy the new forum.

Don't really want to see this place go to **** and I'm surprised Mick hasn't done more to stop people leaving, after all less people = less revenue from ads.

But hes part of the GC crowd anyway, or team Virgin as I like to call them

 

I'm using both forums and will continue to do so.

 

Its fine posting the link, I dont see the new forum as a rival and thats not me being big headed about it. The new one is Newcastle only, like SMB for me o posters will use it for Newcastle chat and hopefully not606 for the banter bit.

It is quiet on here and TBH on the Sunderland board, I think its the problem of doing OK. When we are playing crap we have loads to moan about but knowing our teams, those times ae always just round the corner.

We may liven up a little in March.

 

The new site has an equivalent but it's hidden to everyone except those who request to see it.

 

Don't get why people are thinking it's 'exclusive', that's just ridiculous. you try remembering 300+ usernames and PMing everyone. Made it more difficult if people weren't online at the time. Everyone is welcome, no matter who you are, everyone knows the link by now anyway.

Of course, I don't want to take people away from this site either. People are free to use both, they're not competition, TF is just an 'extension', if you will.

 

Too many good times on here to leave it. A great pity because so many good posters were driven away by the invasion of you know who.

 

It was more a case of mods not having the powers to delete cross board threads i reckon.

 

Partly. The other part was because we had outgrown a mere subsection on a forum and needed our own General Chat section away from the football discussion as the board was getting massively clogged.
Don't understand why you can't use both though AB & pop over?
I know I speak for a lot of posters when I say that we miss your input & banter.

 

I dont think its a case of Mick not trying or even being part of GC, if you see the abuse he gats on there he certainly is not after a popularity award.

We look at a few things and first to look at is members and guests online, both are staying strong and alough this board has shrunk, others are growing.

We get fads, the fad was for GC to attack Newcastle who wrongly got the blame for the Speed thing, that fad is past but I'm still pushing for increased mod powers to prevent a future problem.

I would hate the Newcastle board to die any further but the truth is, its here and yours to use, cant force anyone, its down to the members. I do despair when I read reasons for leaving and dont see why a minority feel the need to excuse leaving by knocking not606, thats just daft IMO.


Just out of intrest, Friday at 1.15 we have 1322 on line, 426 members and 896 guests, its the hits that make the value

I am posting mainly on the other site however I still browse and occasionally post over here. I'm sure the forum will liven up again come the first weekend in March! I expect many to come back, even if it's just for that weekend.

Some stay, some go, some use both, its all good. Not606 is a great forum. I can't speak for the other one but plenty seem happy enough.

 

I'll be popping in from time to time, things aren't so perfect here these days.
