Saints v Pompey Not on TV???

Just been looking at the recent live tv schedules for Sky and BBc and looks like Saints v Pompey might not be shown live in April?

BBc are showing on Fri 6th April Barnsley v West Ham United

and sky are showing on Sat 7th April Nottingham Forest v Bristol City

Bit weird?? I would have thought Saint s v Pompey would be a definite choice of live match! You wonder who selects the games at times!

Unless the tv channels think Pompey are gong to fold and the game wont go ahead??

 

Sadly the history of disturbance between the two clubs may have put them off.

if that was the case beddy then we would never see a derby match on TV 99% of the time there is never any trouble at the ground.

 

There's only one solution to the problem.... go to the game !

Very true....but the match was on the tv the last time we played them. Every time they showed the Pompey fans it must have been embarrising for the producer to see the hand gestures. I guess he doesn't want to be seen to be encouraging that sort of behaviour.....

 

Is it not on the Sunday? Has it even been announced that far ahead yet?

 

The problem may be that the club has put cameras on the list of banned objects for that game

 

Pretty sure its saturday lunch time, no tv planned. Not to worry as I'll be back for this one.

 

why not go to the match like the loyal fans?

Yeah one o clock sat. Away to palace mon at 3 because its a bank holiday

 

nobody wanted to spend a pound for JPT games but all wanted to go to Wembley... nobody could 'afford' to go to Blackpool at home but would happily stump up 50 quid for Man utd/carlisle tickets when they came out...

Funny this, i'm sure there was a thread yesterday moaning about us being on TV. Today there's this thread moaning about us not being on TV!

Fickle is the word i'm looking for I think...

 

The first time I saw Saints was when I took my son to The Dell because he was a ManU fan....nearly twenty years later, we are both Saints fans. That's how you get fans...not everyone is born a Saints fan.

Of course more people want to go to the big games. Not everyone lives and breathes football and wants to spend a lot of money on it.
Before you say anything to me, yes I am a season ticket holder, and yes I get to as many away games as I can.
