Who would you like it to be? Do you care? With Saints presumably going back to the traditional red and white stripes next year (hopefully in the championship) what brands would look good on the front of our new shirt? I'll start off with the bacardi logo: The Black bat with red and gold would look pretty sick and they have obvious ties to the city.
I think we may keep the sash for home games next season and if so I would obviously like Red Stripe as the sponsor! Unlikely though.
I'd like to see us sponsored by bwin/pirelli/samsung and would love to see the red and white stripes back
Red and white will be back. I reckon either Liebherr or Carnival (cruise company) will be the sponsor.
Mercedes-Benz - done and dusted Head the rumour that it was to be them in October/November time. A few weeks later they were unveiled and I heard that they were to be next seasons sponsor. Either them or Firelli (Cortese's italian connections) I'm sure we will, and I hope we go back to Red and White stripes next season. I understand this is an anniversary kit but it is rather boring to look at...
I'm alone in liking the sash, but NC said we're back to stripes next year..thought technically a sash is a stripe. Hope the sponsor is someone classy...mercedes will do me.
Pirelli already sponsor an Italian team have never known them to sponsor out side of Italy. (Unless you know different) Mercedes are our sponsor as we know it today. Does their contract include shirts.....anyone know?
What style of Red and White stripe would you prefer? There have been a few good ones over the years, I dont like the current Stoke City version. I liked the 1997-1998 Sanderson style best but it is a bit out of date.
Perhaps we should have circular stripes running round the body. Would suit Rickie as they now believe these are more slimming than vertical stripes
does anyone have any contact to people within the club, who may be in contact with cortese, perhaps saints twitter or jordan sibley? if we tell them the fans favourite is for red and white stripes with yellow away kit, then maybe it could happen! YELLOWS YELLOWS YELLOWS
No Fran. Hoops are quite the opposite, with stripes being much more flattering. At least I hope this to be the case, or I have wasted a load of money on all the striped shirts I have bought over the years. I think that Mercedes is suitably classy for our mighty club BTW, I have heard a rumour that Pompey are to have 3 shirt sponsors next season in order to ease their finances; French petroleum company TOTAL Retailer French Connection and Couriers, UPS The Logos will look fantastic
I heard a rumour we were having red and white polka dots......well it is the only design we haven't tried over the years isn't it? Would look very fetching I think. Lambert running around in his little Polka dot shorts with his little Polka dot shirt and his little polka dot socks. Tell you what I've got one hell of an imagination ...what..... get in the queue........... get.... in... the.. queue
I prefer the thinner striped shirts, not the thick ones. I think we need a simple striped shirt, will look good!
Red and white stripes unless there is a clash then yellow as alternative away kit. Why play in yellow away kit when we play the blue few at falling down park, for example, which we will after our promotion. Keep the yellow for when we play at Forest or Bristol City. If Norwich don't get promoted and we do we won't use our "away" kit at Carra Rud, will we? It should be a second kit not an away kit. Saints play in red and white stripes 9except for this season, pedants) Sponsor? Mercedes would do nicely, thank you.
I like the Patrick shirts from the early 80s, and the Dimplex one was ace....and I liked the one we had around 2000. . . . so many choices Maybe we should go back to red and white quarters like our 2nd ever strip and work our way back through all of them
Agree with those of you saying plain red and white stripes, yellow away kit, and I would take Mercedes as the sponsor. However, could the permament 'sponsor' becoming the Saints Foundation be ruled out yet?...That would be a statement to beat Barca' Unicef publicity spin.
