Huddersfield have sacked Lee Clark. Huddersfield are 4th in Div One.......having lost ONLY three league games all season. Lee Clark managed them through a 43 game unbeaten run.......a club record. They were beaten play-off finalist last season.......losing 3-0 to Peterborough. How did he last that long with a record like that. MR BRENT........GO AND GET HIM RIGHT NOW..........I FANCY SOME OF THAT TYPE OF FAILURE. Lee Clark is going to challenge the decision with the FL, the cheek of the man who does he think he is.......a successful Manager or something.....good grief.
Would be a good catch but Brent is in too much favour of Fletch....decision time is now not later if any!
TBH I think it's too late to to change the manager now, we should've done it during Dec/Jan. I'm afraid we have to stick with what we have and just pray it's enough to stay up.
I notice that the man is now favourite to take over at Leeds. Now is it too far from the realms of posibility that he might have just been speaking to Leeds on the side and the owner of Huddersfield, the local rivals, may have heard about it and said sod you but this club is big enough not to have to settle for that? Just a guess of course. I cannot see any club sacking a manager with that record on a whim do you.
Well I believe Lee Clark when he says he's shocked at being sacked. The chairman says it's because by changing now they still have time to grab an automatic promotion spot. Which in my book really means "Warnock is available". No-one knows for sure what goes on in football club chairmens heads, but they don't half make some strange decisions. League One was never going to be easy to get automatic promotion from, with Charlton, Sheffield Utd and Wednesday all in there, so I would say Clark has them about as good as could be expected. Of course it could be because the chairman wanted to sell Jordan Rhodes to cash in on him and Clark didn't want to let him go, or vice versa, Clark may have wanted to sell him for big bucks and strengthen throughout the team. All I know is I wish we were in the position to be challenging for a place in the Championship again.
Simon Grayson gets the job of turning Huddersfields season around..........not much room for failure with their terrible record......it's going to be hard for him to win this one.
